Hi all,

I'm just wondering on where to begin tuning a car. By this i mean:
-What settings do i change first (eg ride height, camber or differential)
- should i being tuning off default settings or set all values to the minimum and begin from there

All help is appreciated

I set the toe angles to 0.00 then start with spring rates and ride height.

Read some of the tuning guides, ask some of the tuners on here for advise.Be patient, as the game is not exactly easy when you start to remove traction control and other driving aids.

Ok guys thanks for the info. One more question; what tires do i use? the stock tires the car comes with?

Depending on the purpose, really. Most of us here start with the Sports compounds, softs mainly. They provide decent grip right the way up to around 600/700hp depending on the car, but it still has it's limits, so you can "feel" what said limits are and what's going on without worrying too much about being incredibly accurate with your driving.

Great question.

Many of the default setting on the left side of the screen of the suspension setting are likely close the car in stock condition. The toe setting are questionable. You need to understand the physics of the car and apply it to the type of conditions you will be using it for. Time trials? Race? Tire wear turned on or off. I will have to disagree about the mentioned toe settings. I frequently run with more than + or - .15 toe settings. Toe setting will add in preventing tire wear. Remember when you start reducing the weight of the car, that even if you don't change the spring settings, you are actually increasing the spring rate because of the weight reduction.

Are you using a control or steering wheel for driving? The are differences there too!
