Looking for some suggestions from the more-experienced than me. :)

Maybe I got lucky, but after hearing so much about the Like The Wind challenge, and all the note sharing for a successful tune here, I ended up winning 1st place at Indy in my ZR1 RM (won by 1/100th!) on my second attempt. My car is 849hp with default RM tuning. Maybe I got lucky? I think so.

Anyway, I'm hoping to position myself to become a better driver and have more fun. I have slightly under $2M credits, the fastest car I have is my ZR1 RM, and I hunger for more tarmac fun and a variety of faster cars. But the cars I want to buy and try are all crazy money, like the Lemans and F1 cars. Not sure if I should save and save for an F1 car, or if I should spent what I got on a lesser car and try to earn again to afford an F1 car. It just seems I'll go on forever hoping to one day afford the garage I want.

I hear folks use B Spec to earn cash. But I don't have time for such a boring affair... I'd rather drive. Any suggestions for how to proceed?

TIA.

Seasonal events, bonus race 4 & 5...both of these have a few races that give HUGE $$$ and good exp. One you need a German Car (Opel Calibra is in online dealership) on the ring(pd version) for either 1.5 or 2 million $$$. 2 others I remember are on the High Speed Ring & SRT8 Challenge for something like 500k and 1 million or so.

I gave away a fully modded & tuned Premium model JGTC('06 TAKATA Dome NSX) car last night for a fellow who lost 20k in the tune shop somehow. Trades are slow for me & the cars I'm looking for a getting very specific.

Just finish like the wind at daytona and win the minolta for a start

Agreed. The Minolta is very useful in other races. I'd suggest buying a Stage 3 turbo for it but obviously it doesn't have to be fitted all the time.

it's funny... while you guys were posting i won the other Like the Wind and got my Minolta. that thing's a monster, although i don't have it setup as nicely as my ZR1 for corners, it's top speed is huge. so i'm on my way.

my driving skills are pretty weak when it comes to races... i don't have lots of control especially around other cars, and i'm still stuck with a hand controller and no wheel. so i'm starting to focus on the seasonal events. the only thing is that i'm having to buy cars for those races since my garage doesn't have all the variety i need. it's no problem though... i'm already climbing to 3mil. now it's a matter of getting more skill until i can get a G27. hard to do that since i hate the hand controller and am still in auto tranny mode. blech! 👎

Adjusting to manual is pretty easy with a wheel. I used auto on the controller before I got my G27 aswell. I still cant use manual trans with a controller

Looks like you won't be needing me to send you a car now. Glad to see that you won that Minolta.
