I'm not sure where to put this; EDIT: I created a new thread for the following reason; mods please advise if inappropriate and tell me where to shove this? :)

Currently the spectator is listed as 'critical', should he die then Wehrlein (and potentially Rosberg) will be investigated as part of the inevitable homicide case under Italian law.

At a driving event in Italy yesterday two German soccerball stars were being driven by Pascal Wehrlein and Nico Rosberg when Wehrlein's car struck two men; a marshall and a spectator.

The spectator, a 63 year old German tourist suffered "serious" injuries and was airlifted to hospital. The marshall suffered minor "walking" injuries I believe.

To be clear; there is no suggestion that Rosberg's car hit anyone. Rosberg later tweeted of his shock at the incident, as one does nowadays. This article doesn't say how close Rosberg was to Werhlein's car or if he was even on the same part of the 'stage'.

Further edit:

Apparently the filming (and the reason for the soccer players) was some kind of promotion for a soccer comp. The drivers were making separate laps of a closed stage, although this doesn't tell us how close the cars may-or-may-not have been at the time of the accident.

The two men had reportedly walked onto a closed part of the course when they were struck. If so that makes the homicide case a comparatively short one, even in Italian law.
