WHht is the "set to online" tab on the garage window?

Does anybody actually know what this is for? I can't figure it out. You can only have up to 6 cars in it too.

Also, in "My Lounge" how do I select a car from my own garage for others to use rather than just the recoomended list?

Its your list for online play.
 
Yeah, the only part of your garage that you can access online is the Favorites. I have no idea what the "Set to Online" does though.

You're so close. "set to online" will allow your buddies to drive your car.
And any car that you set as favourite should appear in a tab in online lobbies.

Yea I understand setting my car to the favourites tab allows me to use them online in the lobbies but im talking about letting others use my cars in "my lounge" or even in a lobby you have created myself. WHen choosing what cars people can use. There is "karts only", "F1 only", "Unrestricted" and then "garage". Garage allows you to choose upto 10 cars for people to select but they can only be selected from a very small list in regards to the whole car list. I was wondering how you selected the cars in your garage for this.

Also, I am guessing "set to online" then is similar to sharing your photos am I right?

Still, how do you do this? Haha!

If they use your car online can you still use it or is like a "loan" and it becomes unusuable by you?

Actually havn't touched the set to online mode for cars myself, but I suspect it is similar to the b-spec drivers, and they'll become unusable to you indeed.

And as for the online garage selection: no idea.

If I set a few cars to favorites, then others can use these cars in public races??
 
No they can't use your cars if you set them to online. I've tried setting a car to online from my secondary account, and couldn't use it on the primary one.

I think it's just there for bragging purposes. People get to see what kind of cars you have in your profile.

Hi,

When i share cars online with friends using the online option in the garage, it works ok but when i quit game, restart ps3 & go to garage previously shared cars arent shared online anymore & i can even select & drive these cars (normally u cant drive shared cars)..Is this normal? known bug after 1.05???
