LM cars/touring cars…who’s the King?


The Competition will be divided into 3 categories. And 3 different tests.
A lap time at New York, Acceleration and Top speed.
Lap time=30 possible pts.
Acceleration tests are worth 10 pts. a piece (0-60 & ¼ mile)
Top speed is worth 20 pts.
price/value x4 is worth 20 pts.
Driving feel and specs ex. Roadholding, transmission, etc. is worth 10 pts.
A total of 100pts is the perfect score.

I wouldn't really count that as an LM car or the GT touring cars...thanks for the Zonda I had almost completely forgotten about it.

Ah! GT Touring cars! Your original post only said Touring cars, which the XR8 technically is. My apologies.
 
What of the Oreca Viper and the C5R Vette? And the McLaren F1 should be there too, just like the CLK-GTR.
 
No - he's talking about the fantasy-"LM" cars, not the real ones.

Looks good so far. Where are you getting times from? Your own runs, or a times leaderboard somewhere?
 
The lap times are you personal ones...eh, maybe your driving style suits some cars, and doesn't suit others, so it really depends on each person...

this is true, i managed to get the NSx Lm dealy car faster then that of the time given. but with the other i was way slower
 
I really like the Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race car ‘02. That car redefines the term "grip". :)

Surely if the XR8 isn't included because its not a gran touring car and only a touring car then definately the Integra Type R touring car shouldn't be there as it FF and i'd imagine Super 2000 regulations.
 
Read: 1989therat is testing cars in Gran Turismo which are made-up and have had the LM/Super Touring tag applied to them. The XR8 is excluded because it is a REAL car and does not have LM/Super Touring in its name.

lol...I'm very mad now...I've gotten sidetracked on another GT4 project..but I will have a major test on these LM cars conducted this week..I'm in VBS now I'm a giant Construction barrel.Named 'Darrel the barrel' so I will be stressed for time..infact I'll post pics of me as the barrel for your viewing pleasure :) no..but now I'm hard at work on my website...business proposition...g2g later :)

I was thinking of doing that..but the times were all relatively the same..because the B-specs take corners all at the same speed just about..hitting walls is a trademark of Bob too..and when they hit a bump...they almost stop as if they hit a brick wall...(example shown here--- :banghead: )
