Hizal is a very clean driver and I never seem to have issues with Gallo or Susweillo either, nor Sollis (at least when he is in an Alfa).

But Beauvois loves to park his fat AMG on the apex and because I typically drive slower cars with more grip and need to slingshot around a bend, his bloody Merc is always right where I want to accelerate, and then he just leaves me for dust. If he starts up front in the shorter 600 races he can often get clear and is a nightmare to chase down.

Kokubun seems to love getting messy, certainly not afraid to clip the read of my car to induce a spin!

But worst of all is Hollibar. What a total git! Weaving all over the place, annoyingly fast at exactly the wrong moment, and loves to lean on you if you try to take him on the outside. He also trashtalks Blaison. Tough competitor, luckily normally just off the pace.

I never seem to have a problem with him. Maybe I time my overtake on him on the long straight.

The nameless Jag driver that starts at the back with you however is a total s***!

That's Akagi1942mi_ aka Ryota Kokubun for you.
That's funny though because he's imo the cleanest of all the fast Japanese drivers irl.
On sardenga race he always go through my car with full speed while I am exiting pitlane xD It is ALWAYS him.

Every AI is different.
Some are fast in some races, some are slow, some times one AI is fast in one session and slow in another.
Sometimes, the AI is just down right stupid as stupid can be.
This is Wilk on the 24h Spa.
At the end of lap 8 it just starts to rain, he has medium slicks on, But this can be forgiven as the AI have thresholds for changing tires as they do not react to incoming rain like you can.

End of Lap 9 track is 50% wet, he does not pit for inters or wets but stays out on slicks.

End of Lap 13 still on the same slicks, but their is a dry line now, but he has less than 1 lap of fuel, does not pit

He continues to drive with no fuel worn slicks even when the weather changes again

But I hate them all equally as they're annoying as hell in any race.

I think I've raged at most of them across the various events.

Blaszan and Haywood are two of the worst AI at Tokyo from my experience, often driving as though the player simply isn't there. The Fraga and Beauvois AI are also pretty bad for it as well.

Kokobun's AI easily gets my award for the most ridiculous incident though. I'd lost the back end a bit and knocked the wall going through the twisty sectors at Tokyo after overtaking him at turn 1, so I had a 5 second penalty. I had moved off to the left to serve it with Kokobun about 1-2s behind. He went sniffing for slipstream as I was being forced to slow down, resulting in the AI having a meltdown trying to deal with the situation it had caused. I ended up being fired into the wall for another 5 second penalty and called it quits. :odd:

The new Spa endurance race as well, yikes. I swear Kawakami's AI is programmed to drive for the apex even when the player is fully alongside on the inside. He just turns in regardless.

The AI also seems to get extremely confused and unpredictable when it comes to blue flags. I had an incident where I was lapping Beauvois coming out of Pouhon and he moved off the racing line to let me through... only to then go for a massive divebomb immediately after and take me out whilst I was on the apex.

Gallo at Le Mans. Always seems to see you coming and shifts his line at the last minute.
Blazsan in the same race. He is like “The Mummy” in that Suzuki. Slow as hell, but always just behind you.

The majority of them are terrible ******* drivers, but of course they're just AI. Not sure why PD decided to give them names of real people, which is actually kinda insulting to those guys, if anything...
Yep. It was funny at first, but eh...

The actual drivers don't seem to mind from what I've seen on Twitter, though. Solis in particular was thankful of it.

I remember when you beat the game, all of the drivers congratulate you in some in some way.
Can't remember who it was, but one of them specifically states that they were "no match" for you.
Couldn't help but chuckle at that comment, because I know the person in real life would absolutely blow my doors off on the racetrack.

On Tokyo, they're all bad at some point. During the menu books however, Blaszan is particularly by during the German events. Solis is bad up until like Book 30. And then Kokubun and Yamanaka are just a pain the closer you get to finishing the menu books.

The only reason I remember their names is because of the crap the AI pulls. Names I remember from the AI pulling crap: Gallo, Hizal, Suswillo, Portilla, Kokubun. I haven't seen a clean move by the AI yet, they're either oblivious to you or make a stupid dive.

The AI is easy to trick though. When they do notice you they do everything possible to out brake you for the next corner, dive into it and usually go wide. AI rule nr 1, brake later than the player, just like Beyond the Apex's only suggestion for making overtakes lol. I was doing one make races on N24 in the CE BMW to get used to the car, and one after the other, I get alongside, the pro AI dives either on the inside or outside, straight into the wall
