Is it just me or does it seem that there are only 3 really challenging bends in the game .; namely

corkscrew at laguna
chicane at monaco
right hander after first tunnel on trial mountain ( at speed )

yes every other course have severe bends but they are soon mastered but the above mentioned still make my heart pound

what can i say i love them or i hate them ?????????

Naw, corkscrew is very easy if you just break early enough, the Cote D'Azur one is pretty tough though. The first right hand after the tunnel in trial mountain is also extremely easy if you brake early and drive a good line.

i was on about pressure bends on courses that are widely used in the game not a once or twice track but that is tough as well. :)

aside from complex string, I would have to say that most of the turns are pretty easy. the corkscrew is esay if you slow down and start from the far right, but it can get unpredictable.

I dont know what you mean about trial mountain, you can just power through it and bounce off the wall without losing much speed (if you dont mind that sort of thing)

The monaco track is tricky all around. Its hard to tell where you are going, especially at the end because everything is the same color. I have a problem with the first turn. I just cant get it right consistantly.

My other problems are the chicane in seattle near the finish line, the two sharp lefts in seattle backward before the big hill, the top of the big hill in seattle forward, the last turn at laguna seca, and the right turn after the short tunnel in grand valley backward. Special stage 11 is just a nightmare.

I think that it all depends which car you are driving at the time. The faster the car the harder it seems to be. But the courses stated above are the hardest ones.:D

I hate giong up the hill in seattle because sometimes I lose control if I brake to late for the right angle turn. Its a lot easier in seattle 2

corkscrew at laguna in an f1.. REALLY gets on my nerves.. heh
then of course there's that chicane in Code d'Azur.. holy sheeeeet

maybe I should concentrate on using just *one* good car and mastering those corners.. but ahh well.. :)

What about the final u in seattle 2. sure its easy after a lot of practice but every time you mess up it just kills you. Mainly because instead of rails there is just a cone path that shouldn't be knocked over.

What ?? That cote d'azur chicane is sooooooo easy, same as the corckscrew, you just have to know when to brake ...
Greetz...

BrianCNorton!!!

I agree with you on the first turn in Monaco, but after FINALLY beating the final S-licence..YAY! - I have found out that if you drive on the very left hand side of the track before the corner, and look up, you'll see some street lights... Brake when you are below the last one, and you will be in and out of that corner before you know it..

I hope this helps you.. :)

Yeah, I got a silver on the course after MANY moons playing it. (never got a bronze) and I realized that you only have to tap the brakes enough to send you drifting through the turn. I was actually ahead of the demo by a good margin through the turn.

personally i love the chicane at monoco, but in an f1 car u have to have the revs up or u will control, the corkscrew isnt all that bad in an f1 car just slow down to like 40-50 and dont get on the gas till after the left hander goin down the hill into the right hander

How about the 1st gear hair pin (about 5th) turn at Cote d Azur. Although I get through it alright now I don't think I've ever done it correctly. The other day I got my left front wheel on the high curb and was stuck with the other cars pushing me around the circle.

I hate that one.

what i do on that hairbin is: i brake really late so that i dont get anywhere near that high curb

The corkscrew does still get on my nerves, but being an englishman, I have played enough F1 games in my life to do the Monte Carlo course blindfolded. I remember doing it on Microprose's Grand Prix 1 which was early/mid 90's so it was a god send when the track was included. Apart from those two..... I suppose on midfield raceway about 4 turns from the end, there is a very fast, slight chicane, which if you take too fast, gives you an awful inside line for the hairpin which leads up into the tunnel. I always just try and run the curb and drift it through just to give me the line for the corner.

In Gt2 it was definitely Laguna Seca, I hated doing that course more than anything else. Now I actually enjoy Laguna Seca, it's one of my favorite courses. I hate the chicane at monaco now.

The first corner in Monaco pisses me off. Sometimes I can just scream through it and other time just scrape off the left wall.

Note: I haven't or don't remember Monaco being in reverse. :thatsodd:

So do you ride the wall around the curve?

No, if i rode the wall i wont brake at all, i slow down to like 20mph and cut into the turn, its a late apex the way i do it.

Corkscrew at Laguna is a sinch if you are in 2nd place tucked in behind the leader.

Ram the poor sod into the tyre wall, then hit the brakes. Negotiate the corner and voila - You have an eight second lead.

Oh yeah that turn is very hard, i've been trying to complete time attack mode and when ever i get to that turn with the RGT i spin no matter how fast or slow i go, I hate that turn.

Try using MT and selecting 2nd or 3rd gear for that corner. This will stop the back end flying around!

I'll do that, but not anytime soon since i'm trying to complete the all the endurance races.
