as far as learning new driving techniques, improving old skills, and just getting better. For me it's the bone stock Ferrari F40 that i spent about an hour on the ring with today. It taught me a lot about braking or jamming the throttle to break the rear loose so that you have better weight distribution to go in curves.

The 787b, taught me not to push a car too hard or it'll punish you for it. The 787b's really, really hard to control with no aids.

Yellowbird. Makes me feel like a fool every time. Reminds me of how much I need to learn.

The FGT and Ferrari F1 cars have definitely made me better. If you can be fast in those cars, you can be fast in anything.

What is it with the bone stock Ferrari F40? You press the accelerator and about 2 weeks later the car moves forward!

Seriously though, I bet my save game that its like that in real life.

Audi R10 was the one for me.
I'd been away from '4 for some time when '5 was released and I got the Audi as a stealth car. I spent hours getting back into the swing of things with a car that fast, so I could drive the way I did playing '4.
Got good, went back to driving production based race cars, came back to the Audi last night and had to spend 15 minutes relearning throttle and brake control. Great car though it's an animal if one's not careful!

I know its probably a bit nooby but the X2010 taught me an awful lot. Mostly racing lines (i ignored the braking etc lol) but it showed me just how much time you gain from actually using the racing line properly not just going in a vague that way direction.

Also throttle control is key in that car and it taught me that even when going round slow corners, a tiny bit of accelerator will help you steer so much better

The F40 taught me a lot about controlling the oversteer and using it to your advantage.

The NASCAR's taught me how to fight the car's momentum properly

And the X2010, well... Helped my reaction times:D

Definitely the McLaren MP4-12C in GT5. As far as I'm concerned, if you're able to dial that car in to do 6:1X around Nur online, you've beaten GT5.

The gallardo

I basically learned the game on that car
Everything from braking to throttle control

But i learned the basics of drifting with my M3

My Mazda Demio sport '03..... My first car... :) Then my Civic EG '91, it teached me how to tune. (And my Berlinette R/S for tuning)

I learned the most from the slower Kei cars. When Prologue came out, I figured the best way to learn the game, and the physics, was to crawl before I could fly. To be fast in a Kei car, you have to learn how to carry momentum through the corners while using a variety of techniques.

Sure enough, as I progressed up the horsepower ladder, I got faster and faster. Toward the end, I ran the Kei cars again and compared my previous lap times from the year before.

I had picked up a little over 3 full seconds across the board.

the constant tune of the Ruf's. Seems there's alot to be learned there in precision, patience, throttle control and braking. No car punishes you more for being off beat since they aren't very forgiving. But once you get them down they are quite rewarding

The X2010 taught me how to experience TRUE frustration in a racing game...the Vettel Challenge was so oh my god hard. And it also taught my reflexes to a certain extent. :D

My very first Skyline taught me a hell of a lot - whether it be that speed is not necessarily quicker, or that properly tuning a car takes a great length of time of trial and error.

Damn funny :)

For me the NSX, I never expected it to be so much fun in the corners.

Elise 96 and Elise 111R-
I drive these with my own tunes and without assists... they're very fast cars, but very unforgiving if you get something wrong.

Racing my X2010 against other X2010s round the nurburgring... driving that thing on the edge is what it's all about, none of this drag racing crap with people who traded for it.

I'm doing all license tests again (my brother did a PS3 user for himself) to adapt myself with the DFGT, and no car teached me more to keep focused than the Ferrari 512 BB without any assist
