I'm a bit stuck between what to buy in this price range for Premium Cars.

I ALREADY OWN A FORMULA GRAN TURISMO, not that it matters since I only really buy Premium Cars.

I am tied between the Audi R10 TDI or Peugeot 908 HDi FAP.

For anyone who owns these, when fully tuned/modified, which is best? I have roughly 7 million credits, but I want to keep a reserve of at least 2 million.

I read Stormbringer's thread, but it's kinda vague. What would you guys suggest in general? Is the R10 worth the extra 750k? I'm looking at the R10 and that seems less worth the money by the second at 4.7 million.

EDIT: I was made aware that the Zonda and Audi are prize cars. I am never going to run the 24hr race for the Audi, so that's in contention. The Zonda is now out of contention.

The 908 is probably the best of those since you can get the Zonda R for free. Another good car is the GT Spec II Test Car.

I agree. I have the 908 and it's easily fast enough to win the All Stars and Dream Car championships. The Ford GT Gran Torismo car is also a good choice.

Good choice. The 787B is even better and faster. Fully tuned and with 200km run (optimizes engine) i got the following specs:

787B: 881BHP
908HDi: 866BHP
R10:758BHP

Also the 787B is lightest and the R10 heaviest. The 908HDi does seem to heavy a very nice powerband @ 3000-5000rpm (I always shift at 5000rpm, I think it really is faster) but the best tracktimes I've achieved with the 787B.

Anyways, the R8 LMS is won through Nürburg 4H which I just finished. Or do you mean the R8 Race Car '01? That one isn't winnable. The R10 is won through the Lv40 24h race.

I'll give the 787 a purchase after next week's seasonal event.

I was talking about the R10; I only collect Premium Cars, hence why I haven't finished many of the races yet.

2.9 million u'll get a GT-One. add another 500 grand u'll have a R89C. these 2 will beat Esperante, R390 GT1, Zonda LM & R at any point.
those 1.9 millions 800hp such as Vertigo/Escudo are priced lower for a reason; they are simply slower around the track, tuning may help but cant cure. buy the Viper Oreca instead. it was always the strongest competitor in Le Mans for its class, (no Porsche 911 couldve matched it). do NOT buy the XJ220 LM unless uve got a fetish on Jaguar like i do, comparing to the Viper & C5-R, its slow on straights, slow on corners(probably will lose out to an NSX-R road car...), the model badly done as well. however, it will win over the Lister V12 Storm on performance, which is a real rare one to find.
others...u have to collect them all really, i really would recommend a Peugeot 905, won back-to-back at '92 & '93 Le Mans & seen it bypass twice but neither times was i able to pick it up. uhghhh. if u dont like it, trade, there will always be ppl like me.

Uh, none of those are premium cars, thus I don't care. They don't add to my collection, nor will they see any use.

I already own quite a few of those. I hate American cars in general. The 908 is a handful to handle, but beat my fastest R246 time by almost 7 seconds.

i do not like american cars either, and hate to see how badly done these standard models are, but those past racing machines just attract me more than the newer ones. but i do own a 908, it is a hell of a beast, huge torque, hard to live on the track in the rain without TCS.

what s ur fastest R246 time? and also do u think this track is more tyre consuming than u would have thought?

premium: 908 or 787b
I personally never use the R10 because of its huge torque.
the 908 or 787 are easy to drive and faster.

Standard: id say buy the Sauber Merc. That car is the bees knees! or toyota GT1

Torque of R10 is a bit exaggerated... Peugeot has far more torque but it's easier to handle...
