When i think about it, I've never had a car that can recieve the "Displacement UP" mod. Can anybody give some insight to this?

Nissan Skylines, I think they're the only ones in the game that can.

Yeah I think so, I'm not sure if all of them can be barring the race models, the standard ones you buy can be done but I can't remeber if the Nismo and Mine's Skylines can.

No.

Mini Cooper 1.3i
Honda Civic SiR-II
Honda Civic Type-R
All Skyline road cars, except the GT-R LM Road Car and Mine's Skyline.

"There's no replacement for displacement."

I live by that saying.

Odd, then, that the cars capable of receiving a displacement increase are one 1.3i, two 1.6is and a selection of 2.5/2.6s - with turbos designed to replace displacement.

LOL

Very nice catch.

There IS a replacement for displacement... its called forced induction. There is, however, no replacement for displacement AND forced induction....

:odd:

The displacement gives the Mini and the 2 Civics a +4% to hp, and only +3% to the Skylines.

There are better ways to spend 8,500 Cr. than this.

I never noticed. I just bought what I could for my cars.

I never noticed either until I got an X-port and try to make some crazy hybrids. (My first was a 3600+ hp Mini, which you can only drive on Test course because it just doesn't turn at 600 km/h).

Now that would be funny to watch.

It's too bad that PD didn't add this upgrade to more cars because IRL there are alot of cars that this can be done to...the STi (but then I guess that's why the 22B is available) for example, and alot of american cars like camaros. Even a Viper you can increase the stroke/bore IRL, can't you?

Yep, and that's what the Hennesey Vipers get in the 700R, 750R, and 800 TT upgrades, the latter making about 866 HP...
No replacement for displacement and forced induction indeed!
