Which cars cannot be used for racing?

I read on another thread that it's pointless to buy the Ferrari F10 because you can't use it in a race or online and that you can only use it for practice mode. Does anyone have a list of cars that encounters this same issue? So we can all be aware of what not to spend hours and hours of saving money to throw it all down on a car you can't even race with.
