**NOTE**Please be aware you can choose more than one option when picking your choice on this poll.

**EDIT**DOH!!!! I created this poll and I didnt even say that I use the original DF wheel. 95GTIVR6= :dunce:

Basically wondering what everyone uses. I know that sometimes I get tired of using my DF and swich to the DS2. Sometimes I feel myself getting hot while using the DF, maybe I just concentrate too much. However, I use the DS2 more than the wheel. The wheel is basically used for Enthusia :)

DF

DFP

DS2

Personally I havn't used the DFP but I like the feel of the paddles quite a lot. You can flick them to shift making you feel like Schumacher. :dopey:

Thanks to Duke who re-opened the forum after consideration.

I'm sorry, but adding pictures does not constitute a valid reason to post yet another thread on this topic.

[edit]

Actually, I retract that. I ran through a couple searches, and though this topic has been discussed frequently, there's hasn't really been a thorough poll. My apologies to 95GTIVR6 for prematurely closing it.

*bump* Reopened thread on reconsideration.

I use the old DF that served me well through a couple years of GT3. I, however, do not use the pedals. I use the paddles for gas and brakes. The pedals are just too flimsy for my size 15 feet... That is the main reason I haven't gone to the DFP, since you can no longer use the paddles as I do on the DF.

DS2. Analog steering all the time, and analog brakes/throttle sometimes. Usually for standing starts and the first two gears of cars with severe wheelspin (if it's still smoking in third I'll turn the TCS on). I'll do a few laps with both sticks every now and again, but I'm more comfortable with the buttons. I'm glad GT4 allows you to shift back and forth without changing anything. Too bad this setup has inconvenienced some people with more unique control config preferences.

DF only. I bought it at the same time I bought the PS2 and GT3, but in this game (and in GTC) I also used the DS2 once in a while. Since GT4Prologue I only use the wheel, the same with GT4. Currently I'm mostly playing Enthusia and in this game the DF is really the only option, since the cars are very, very sensitive and require carefull modulation of throttle and braking. Maybe others can drive this with the DS2. I humbly admit that I can't.

I'm a DF fan. I think I bought it four years ago, and although the intensive using of it (with GT3 , GTC, GT4Prologue, GT4 and Enthusia ) I never experienced any problem. Great wheel.

I use a williams replica f1 wheel with ffb, its exactly the same as the dfp except for the 900degree turning thing which I dont needso I voted anyways :-D

I have been using the DS2s Analog Sticks all the time, but my DFP comes tomorrow and I hope to be using DFP (Stick) all the time in the future :)

I have a DFP but the FF is crap with GT4 and prevents you from driving in a stright line over 120Mph or thereabouts. It's brilliant with other sims though. So I use my DS2, I use the right stick for acceleration and brake and the D-pad for turning.

Use the DS2 with R stick for gas/brake and L stick for steering. I know I'm a dinasour and should get a wheel, but I am able to accomplish everything in GT4 with the old basic controller and I guess I'm cheap.

DS2, left analog stick for turning, and the buttons for brake and gas during a race. For drifting, both analogs seems to work best :) If I had a DFP I'd use that :D

DS2 with D-Pad ..

my buttons configuration might be strange for you guys.. i cant shift down properly with my left hand .. i have R1 as up and R2 as down .. special button on L2 :|

chinko
DS2 analogue AND buttons.
Same here. :)

I use Left-Stick for steering, and buttons for brake, accelerate and changing gears. I could use Right-Stick for acceleration and brake as well, but you can't get both at the same time, so that's the end of that...

Use the DFP but I use the paddles instead of the stick... Unless I am turning more than 90 degrees AND shifting at the same time!

I use the DS2 buttons for gas and brake and the analog sticks for steering. I don't have a DFP though, they are too expensive.

I use the dual shock analog and the buttons for breaking and stuff.

Let's see what happens if we remove the second "and":

"I use the dual shock analog and the buttons for breaking stuff."

It's braking.... I do the same, buttons for accel/decel/gears, and analogue steering. Except when I'm driving something really slow around the 'Ring - my thumb hurts after holding X for 10 mins constantly, so the right stick gets a bit of use then.

haha!
I almost never use the buttons for acc/dec, it's too hard to do. If you want to go half throttle or something like that it's a lot easier to control it with the stick. Gives a better feel I think...

Ive taught myself to modulate both throttle and brake on the DS2... didnt take too long (about a week for threshold braking - throttle ive been doing since GT3)

I completed GT with the digital controller and kept going the same way when GT2 was released. At some stage I got a DS2 and switched to analogue acceleration/braking but still used D-pad for steering. Anyway, I tri edsteering with the left analogue stick when I got GT3 and it was my best decision since buying the original GT.

It's not hard to drive using the DS2: all golds in GT and GT2, all golds in GT3 (twice due to game save deletion), ll golds in GT Concept, Prologue and GT4...
