Which G6 do you like?

It's kinda hard for me. The G6 Coupe, Hardtop Convertible, or Sedan? Personally, I'd have to go with the G6 Coupe GXP Street. It has that nice fastback profile and performance to boot.

So which Pontiac G6 do you like the best? Post now!

well I'm not sure about american car (coming from malaysia) but when you talk about the pontiac,yeah i do know about the Pontiac GTO and the solstice (both being driven by Rhys Miller) But ill try to do a search later for the car and tell you what i think of it. (have to go watch Formula 1 first.)

After i did some googling and a search on wikipedia,i found some information about the G6.The new G6 GPX is quite cool really.It could just have that competition that they needed in the U.S. for the sport compact class.Now it cuold rival the Scion Tc and the Chevrolet Cobalt SS.

I don't care for the G6...well not until Pontiac makes it RWD and puts decent suspension on it for 2009. They aren't bad cars, there are just cars that I would rather have over it.
 
The G6 convertible is pretty cool, but the G6 isn't a very good car in comparison to its competition. But, I'd still take it over the Solara.
 
For the price of a G6 convertible you can get one of these...

for about the same price and they are nicer cars, even if they are a bit on the gay* side.

* The old VW Cabriolet was the number one car preferred by gay men in America.

The last GTP was a pretty good deal, performing with some of the best "performance" sedans with relative ease. I'm a bit dissapointed they discontinued the 6-speed manual model with the GTP, but with the better LY7 and the 6T70E automatic, it all ends up working together pretty well.

...Although, the radios still piss me off. I can't believe they haven't switched to the new GM corporate radio that looks a MILLION times better than the unit currently in the car...

Other than that, I'd rather have the Aura than the G6. I, like Joey, am waiting for the RWD model in 2011, which should make it a substantially better car. But even then, the eventual update that is coming (no word it if will stay Epsilon I or go to Epsilon II) should hopefully fix some of the problems to better align it with the Aura and the new Malibu.
 
The Beetle isn't gay at all. It's interesting.

Anyway, I'm partial to the Coupe as G6s go, but I'd like it even better if there wasn't that 7-foot gap between the door and the rear wheel arch.

By VW Cabriolet, he was referring to the Golf/Rabbit one. There is actually a nice dark blue one for sale in town, which I'd sort of like to own if its a manual. I'd rather it not be a convertible, but it is.

Also note that the "gay" lists that have the VW Cab. listed also have the Miata.

Now back on topic, I like the Pontiac G6 GTP, because it has some chrome wheels, nice clean look, maybe crappy in a way, but come on it's an american car. It would be teh shizzle if it was Japanese. :rolleyes:

I don't how good any of these cars actually are, but going on looks only, the sedan is the only one that actually looks right. The back end on the Coupe looks like it belongs on something else, like a Solara. Both ends just don't look right on the same car. The sedan is nice and balanced, though.
 
-> I personally drove the GT V6 Sedan and the Coupe. Although the coupe is sleeker, I like the sedans euro-style sunroof. But I'd skip both of them and get either an Accord EX V6 6-Speed Sedan and Coupe. But if we're talking 4-seat cabrio's, I'd take the VW Eos 2.0T anyday, a cabrio that has a moonroof/sunroof along with the top all the way down, that's value right there.

Generally speaking, until they fix the interior, I'd call the G6 probably the worst Epsilon car GM makes right now. It looks nice on the outside, and fairly decent on the inside, but it is clear that the design (overall) dates back to the pre-2005 goodness that most GM cars enjoy these days.

...In terms of sedans, the Aura is leagues ahead of the G6...
 
True, I rode in an Aura once and wow it's nice. It was an XR with XM satellite radio, leather interior, and the high-output V-6. Fast, comfortable, and with a good radio, I would definitely choose an Aura over a G6... unless the G6 was a coupe. The coupe's my favorite (as I said), but yeah the Aura's better. But the Aura is only a sedan so why would I make a thread about the Aura?
