I also have a 40 Gig 4th Gen iPod. Mine has also died... it was having hard drive problems since December 2004. I sent it into Apple, yet they didn't replace it when it was first having problems while still under warranty. Now, almost a year and a half later it has finally bit the dust.GilesGuthrieMY 40GB Gen-IV one has just died. I'm still evaluating whether to replace it.
daanI've not got an ipod either.
I've got a 20GB Sony NWA3000 that I'm more than happy with.

The bundled software was the worst program I had ever used. They've updated it now and, while still being far from great, is a vast improvement on what it was and is very useable. So, tell them to get the patch from Sony.Jon.2 of my friends have those. One has a 6gb in that colour, and the other has a 20gb in purple. They do look very nice indeed, but they both say that the bundled software is awful. Still, wouldn't say no to one![]()
