Best LM car here is...?

Which is the best and why:

Subaru Impreza LM
Mazda RX7 LM
Mitsubishi FTO LM
Honda S2000 LM

It's a close one - they're the prize cars in the Am. league Dream Cars series. I've won the RX7 and Impreza and wonder whether it's worth winning the other two? I'd like to know what you guy's think...
 
Oh man, the Subby, hands down. I love that car.
The reason why? It's a great duel purpose car Rally or street. I don't like the FTO in this game. I liked it in #1 and 2 but it doesen't handle as good in #3.(IMO)
 
Out of the two I actually prefer the RX7 over the Impreza. I've heard the S2000 is pretty close though. I also remeber how good the FTO was in GT2... :)
 
Yeah, the RX7 is nice, handles great. I had to do alot of tuning to the Subaru to make it not understeer so much. I really diden't give the FTO much of a chance. Tried it once without tuning and diden't care for it. Reset the game and went for something else.
 
The FTO isn't bad, its good for winning the 4WD leagues if you haven't already. I don't think it is as good as the RX-7 though and I haven't won the other two yet. :(
 
This is great guys, has anyone got any experience of the S2000?

Well that's nice....The RX-7 is the best, for the really fast racing. The Impreza is good for those wet races.
 
I got the subby the other night. I was hyped because of how well the rally editions run, on or off road. Well, I hopped in the LM, went and did the normal, deck it out process, (just a big turbo), and went to run it on the complex course. THAT THING DRIVES LIKE CRAP WITHOUT TUNING!!!! I mean, it's like a 5000hp brick. It gets better with tuning tho..

Try sticking dirt tyres on it and use it for rallying :lick:

Have you forgotten about the ALTEZZA???? coz that's my fave! 😈
 
I'd have to say the S2000 LM. Once it's setup, it outhandles the other 3 by far. I had a choice of using the S2000, the FTO, the RX7, the Subby, the Altezza or the S2000 during a round at Weakest Fly 2. The S2000 was far superior in handling than the others, and oddly enough, the top 15 times were set with the S2000.

I won the Altezza LM last night,found a setup for it and raced it in it's series on the beginner and amateur leagues' as it was i.e. no turbo upgrades,have to agree with you Tigra, it's pretty sweet :D

Not for me. I'd just use an Escudo for the really fast racing, but if I had to choose between a regular LM, i'd choose the FTO. Always watch the replays, and you'll see that the FTO LM is the fastest. ;)
 
My vote the RX-7 LM. Why, you ask?

Two reasons:
1. Front engine-rear wheel drive.
2. Rotary baby.
 
As the proud owner of all five prize cars, my pick is the S2000 LM, followed closely by the RX-7 LM. FR just does it for me I guess... :) I was also a bit disappointed with the FTO LM at first, but found it more enjoyable at ~500HP than at full-tune.
 
i would say the S2000 LM .......it is the car Honda designed to celebrate their return to F1 is it not ...... this car is superb.......haha made a good point above that some of you might want to check
 
The RX-7 and S2000 I don't have yet, so no comment on those. The Impreza handles reasonably well after tuning, but it has the aerodynamics of a brick. It's a reasonable rally car, though. :D Anyway, out those four, the FTO. Altezza isn't bad either, but it's slower (at least in Tokyo R246) than e.g. the S2000, but faster than the FTO. (I should know, I was the fastest Altezza driver at Tokyo in The Weakest Fly 2.)

The Impreza is good at rallying but is shaped like a brick. too_cold love's it but thinks the RX7 is better. It's one of Werner's favourite's but masonholmes thinks it's crap (without tuning).

Brian P thinks the FTO 'isn't bad' and kyle would choose it first. too_cold didn't like it but CrackHoor was happy with it around 500bhp.

haha preferred the S2000 as did secretghost007, who quoted figures. The proud owner, CrackHoor, picked the S2000, Schumy thinks it's superb (plus something about F1...?), xxintegra94xx likes it in orange and Civic_VTi hasn't got one.

As for the RX7, I (did) think it's the best as does barryf1fan and IT1UK, but kyle want's anything but! CrackHoor put it in 2nd, Civic_VTi still hasn't got one and DP votes for Africa...!

So where does that leave me... ****in' nowhere - cheers!!! :(

Oh, and where the hell did the Altezza come from? It was even on the list.... :confused:

Go with the RX-7 or the S2000, front-engine rear-drive is a proper Sports car. My second choice would be a MR, which there wasn't any in question. :D

The Altezza should of made the list :) Oh and i like the subby :p
