Ouch, that's a good one. To be a true roadster contest you'd have to throw in the Miatas and the Cobra (heh heh). From the two you've supplied as options ... man I really don't know. I've only driven the Griffith, and that was short lived. I'd go with the TVR because I have this extream hatred toward the Boxter. It's like, stupid.

That's my uneducated and not well accepted $0.02

I'd go with the Boxter, it handles better with less chance of spining out. And it has better acceleration cause it has more weight over the driving wheels. Just what I think.

Boxs ter boys ....i haven't driven the TVR much but i would think the MR Ruf would outhandle it but i'm not sure how much the TVR weighs compared to the Ruf ......if they weigh close to the same then the Ruf would handle better ......the Ruf would probably get a better launch off the line having more weight towars the rear (like Mazkid said) but it's not really the start that wins the race ......the griffith 500 might be the quicker of the two in acceleration and top speed but like i said i'm not really sure ..... the best thing to do would be to take both cars in stock trim and puts some laps in with them ......love the 3400S though :D

andy, how about you tell me some of the important stats about the 2 cars and i'll tell you right now which is the better of the two .......include horsepower, torque, weight, power-to-weight ratio, and torque-to-weight ratio

i already know that the Ruf is MR and the TVR is FR

TVR Grifith:
hp = 330
p/w = 7.08 ibs/hp
torque = 48
weight = 1060
Disp = 4988cc

RUF 3400S
hp = 296
p/w = 9.7 ibs/hp
torque = 37
weight = 1300
Disp = 3387cc

NOW I KNOW THE BETTER CAR!

Dude! the torque was messed up in the game, the decible shouldn't be there, so if it says 35.8, it's 358. That should help.

I personally haven't taken the time to drive one of my RUF's yet, but I would go with the RUF. I used the TVR Griffith 500 in the Spider and Roadster race on Pro the other day. I won with Super Slicks, but the handling is very sluggish. I have drifted more the entire game in just those 3 races, than I have in the entire game....

Now to think about it, it felt sorta like rallying on Tarmac. I am not a huge fan of drifting, but I can do it. I think it slows the car down too much personally.... :confused:

Griffith does have a lot of roll but it is quite adjustable on the throttle, a stiffer set up would sort it. Can't really comment on the RUF, only driven it once at a mates house a few months ago.

I'd probably go with the TVR, although it needs some camber+toe adjustments first;)

The best overall roadster is the honda s2000 though :cool:

Despite being a huge fan of Boxsters, I say go with the Griffith and tune the suspension & brakes to your particular handling tastes. The Griffith is both lighter and more powerful.
