R92 C, light weight, decent speed and good handling.
R89, pretty much det same.
Gt-one, extremely fast and good handling. Little slow braking
Sauber, overall good
R8, slow speed but good handling and braking.

If you tune theese cars right they can keep up with the minolta. Dont know if any of them is faster but they are as good as it ;)

Perhaps that's with lowest downforce. You need a reasonable amount of downforce to keep up in any race, unless it's La Sarthe No Chicane or SSR7.

This. My GTOne does 270+mph with lowest downforce but as a result it spins out on ANY turn.

The main reason the 88c-v is used a lot is because it's easy to win relatively early in the game. Because of this, people had time to fine tune it to perfection and get used to it's feel... There are better cars, however. The sauber C9 is faster, and the 787b has wild acceleration and turning... If you are on a REALLY technical track, you are better off in a Mazda Furai.

GT-One and Pescarolo Courage C60.

I doubt they can beat the Minolta directly on track without other passing strategies like pit-stops... but are superior to the Minolta in persistent endurance.

Ive tested all the le mans cars round Nurburgring GP/F before and the R8 topped the time sheets, from the Sauber C9, and the R92CP was third
