I had GT2 out the other day, and raced at a couple of the tracks I loved that missed the cut in GT3.

I realised that I really missed some of the circuits that were left out, and figured other people would be the same.

So, I put together a list of circuits (hopefully complete - note I left out the reverse versions of the circuit - just vote for that circuit and make a comment below) that people could vote on - you can vote for multiple circuits.

The two tracks I really miss are Red Rock Valley and the Autumn Mini-Ring, because I really liked the circuits and they were, respectively, my high and low speed test circuits.

I really loved the mini-ring - in GT1 I had two cars that could do two laps from a standing start in under a minute - the green Skyline (R33) of Death, and the Subaru Impreza rally car.

High Speed Ring, Tahiti Road, and Pikes Peak. :(

I'm guessing those are from GT2, which I didn't get to play much of, so I don't know what those courses are. I voted for the old test course because I like the idea of being killed (:

...okay....:thatsodd:

I guess what I liked about the old Test Course was that the banking was actually quite tricky and very steep, and if your set-up was too stiff it was very possibly to get air and spin, which I figured if you managed at 380 kmh in real life, you wouldn't be looking at an open casket funeral.

That's a really tough question, I voted for Pikes peak, but it was a toss up between that and Red Rock.

Just so everyone's clear:

YOU CAN VOTE FOR MULTIPLE TRACKS

Sorry you didn't pick that up Tom, probably should have bolded it or something.

 Damnit. You should of bolded it. I didn't catch it.

what about Rome Night........that track was so fun ....that is the only track that Villeneuve could not find the same level of grip on as me....i knew that track perfect and miss it the most :(

Seriously disappointed that Autumn Ring and Autumn Ring Mini didn't make it. They were the best tracks for having a handling battle. It was one the only stage where a 200hp Spoon Civic could dominate over WRXs, GTRs and NSXs. Man I loved that stage. Also voted for Grindewald because it was so unique, and kinda reminds me of the Nurburgring track in Germany (though much smaller).

Glad to see Red Rock Valley and High Speed Ring go (and hopefully Apricot Hill next time). These tracks lack imagination and are just too boring to race on.

i know it's not a track, but i miss the random event generator. now that i've completed 100%, i just want to hop in a car and drive, and i hate picking a track because it's always one of my favorites. in gt2 rome night would be picked a lot and i never spent much time on that track and it made the racing so much more fun. i miss that track the most. well what do ya know, it ended up being a track.

I vaguely recall Rome at Night (gee, it's been a while since I've had GT2 out) - I know it was on one of the license tests, but which races series was it in?

And as for Motorsportland - I don't recall this circuit at all. Where was this one? I'd be interested to know, so I can drag GT2 out and once I've adjusted to looking at the graphics, check it out.

Rome Night and MotorsportsLand are only available in arcade mode i believe and you have to complete all the races in arcade first ........i'd consider motorsportsland to be a shifter-cart track not a race car track....guess it was designed for the lupos ....rome night was great though.......mostly a handling track with many high speed sweeping corners ......definitely Italian style ;)

Mmmm, interesting. I'll have to drag it out after Christmas.

Thanks for the tip!

I really miss the Autumn Ring, that was so good for drifting, used to love taking my TVR Griffith round there as sideways as I could. Jaguar XJR was good for some sideways action as well :D

autumn ring was kick ass. remember the normal sports car challenge on GT1? first race was backwards Autumn Ring Mini! so much fun....

also, the Viper is better than the NSX Type S Zero for that challenge.

and just how could you get killed on the old school Test Course???

It had proper steep banking!! It was pretty spooky on the banking at very high speed.

Seriously, if you set a car up too stiff, it used to really play up on the banking, especially at VERY high speed (talking Escudo here) - you'd get vibrations happening and it was quite easy to spin. I'm guessing hitting a guard rail backwards at 380kmh, although without serious consequence in the Gran Turismo world, would have severe ramifications re 'continuing to live'.

The new one's too flat (and too long!)

yeah i've gotten cars all kitty-wompus on it at high speeds (GTO TT/MR on GT1) and slam into the wall and have the car slam up to 45 degrees of angle and slam back down! lots of fun...

i almost fell asleep racing on the new Test Course! i was racing a tuned Silvia K's (S13 1800 cc's) and i started nodding off!

They really dumped a couple of good tracks from the previous games, alright! The ones i miss most are Red Rock Valley/R and Grindelwald/R.
But autumn ring/mini/R and High speed ring! The those 2 are classics that
cant be left out in next game!!!
