I go between the Bumper and Cockpit. My preference is cockpit however, if I'm just wanting to finish a level/Event, not looking for the challenge then it's bumper. In the rally challenges I've found the Full Car view is easiest.
 
Bumper Cam for all cars except F1 and X1, where I use Hood/Roof Cam.
 
I almost exclusively use cockpit view with these exceptions:

Roof cam for Standards, and when I'm doing hotlaps with the X2010.
 
In-cockpit view. Gives me a better sense of where the car's body so I don't bump into walls when following racing lines and such.

when playing online, rear full-car view. Gives me a better sense of blind spots, cars around me, etc.
 
I use bumper for some Standards or Premiums that don't suit any of the other views, cockpit for realism factor, hood for the best view most of the time and full car for better sighting around me.
 
Heh I thought was about cam shafts.
I use the bumper cam, always have always will.
 
I use Bumper cam, less in the F1, i use the cockpit view there it's easier to know when to change gears.
And if a car have really a hood view (not in the roof) i use it.
 
Cockpit if able, top of the car if not.
 
Hood definitely. You should do a poll. Whoops never mind was on my iPod and didn't see the poll my bad. But seriously hood i prefer basically because all cars premiums and standards have it which means I don't have to differentiate.
 
Primarily I've tried using cockpit view as much as possible for the experience and realism, but for pure blissful accurate driving in a fast car sometime I switch to 'bumper' cam. It's not bumper though, it's about driver eye level but the car body is basically invisible fro what I gather... I think it gives almost a more realistic view as you have a bit more peripheral vision and the cockpit view as much as it is realistic does give you limited viewing which in real life wouldn't necessarily be the case as you have much better spacial awareness in the real world and much larger peripheral vision. With a multi-screen set-up however it's always be cockpit view (if only!).
 
Cockpit view on almost all premiums.. then bumper for the standards.. and hood for the FGT :)
 
I use only cockpit views unless it isn't an option, which unfortunately it isn't an option for 80% of the game's cars. On the sub-Standard models I have to settle for a hood/roof cam.
 
Cockpit only for premium cars, full car view for standards.
 
3rd person and cockpit
 
GT1 through to GT5 I have always used "behind the car", but over the past month or so I've been using "hood" and really like it. Cockpit view is nice too but I prefer having my view come from the center of the vehicle.
 
Bumper, but if they had a proper hood camera like NFSU2 I'd use that. I don't like the stupid roof hood cam...

No seriously. GTP has a policy against duplicate threads. They create clutter and make the entire site more difficult to navigate. Soon this one will be locked, you'll see.

To the OP: use the search function next time. I found that dupe thread in less than 30 seconds.
 
I usually use the cockpit cam...but some cars (RM cars or the Citreon rally cars) have such a poor view that makes it next to impossible to drift or do any sort of rally race. I use the bumper cam in those situations.
