Moved up do D, and plan on doing Skip Barber for the season.

Have no additional tracks other than the initial included.

This season's schedule for skip barber is:

Summit*
Road America
Watkins Glen
Okayama*
Gilles
Laguna Seca*
Canadian Tire
Road Atlanta
Lime Rock Park*
Sebring
Interlagos

* For included tracks.

Planned on trying to Skip barber & Grand Touring (Jetta/Solstice/MX-5) but they race at same time, and I have limited time to race. Might end up racing some of the GT Cup, as out of the three tracks I plan to buy below are on both schedules. I might end up being able to alternate it around and race both series, but my main focus is going to be skip barber.

Tracks I plan to buy

Watkins Glen
Road Atlanta
Sebring

Also buying the Skip Barber.

So need to purchase one more track to get 8 races a season for credit, but if I buy another track, with the %20 I'm only paying $5 for the last track. $69 US for 5 tracks and the skip barber.

The tracks I'm considering to buy for Skip Barber and GT Cup are:

GT CUP TRACKS

Mid-Ohio
Infineon
VIR
Brands Hatch
Spa

Skip barber tracks

Road America
Suzuka
Gilles
Interlagos
Canadian Tire

For the future, I plan to stay Road racing, and next series I have my eye on would probably be grand-am.

So, asking you iracing veterans two questions.

1. What next track should I buy for Skip Barber? Needing just one more have enough tracks to get 8 race participation credit.

2. Might as well get one more track just because of the discount. What would you get? If I get one more out of the GT-Cup I will have the 8 tracks for participation.

I'm thinking either Gilles or Interlagos for Skip Barber.

and

Spa or Mid-Ohio for GT_Cup.

Looked through the schedule a little bit for other classes, and seems that Mid-Ohio & Spa get thrown around a lot.

Thanks for your help.

The most used tracks are Spa and Mid-Ohio out of those bunch. Interlagos and Montreal are safe bets because they are new and relatively unique.

Brands Hatch would be a must-buy if it got used more often. It gets used a fair bit but not as much as it should be. (imo)

The only one I'd say not to buy is VIR because its barely used. But you can't really go wrong with the rest, whatever you like the most really.

To put them in order of most useful:
Spa
Mid-Ohio
Canadian Tire
Road America
Interlagos
Suzuka
Gilles
Brands Hatch
Infineon
VIR

I personally love the hell out of Brands Hatch, and that's not just because of my nationality - my local track is Oulton Park but Brands is a lot of fun and really tests the limit of any car while still being fun to chuck the car around. The main overtaking spots require a bit of guts on the brakes but are not impossible, its just a great track.

Spa is probably my favourite track and iRacing did an awesome job of it. I'd definitely get that over mid-ohio. I have a soft spot for Gilles Villeneuve having lived several years in Montreal but Interlagos is pretty good as well.
