Having not had GT6 too long I have been using cockpit view and interior sound until someone gave me a tip of using hood/bonnet mic which was great, today I tried exterior mic and this sounds so much better and raw for most cars I have tried, so I think I will stick to this as to me this sounds great. I keep reading about the bad sounds and hoover sound but does this relate to the interior mic? (which is quite bassy and I think they were trying to capture the tyre/road noise when you listen carefully, but this drowned out the exhaust note in some cases)..So overall I am pretty happy with the sounds in GT6 with exterior sound/cockpit view. Any other tips on sound you have found? GTS can only get better 👍

p.s I tried to find a thread to put this in but there are so many so I put in general questions if this is in the wrong place please move 👍

Exterior view. As you stated it is more raw and doesn't have all the wind noise or muffling.

Exterior View. Really don't like the sound of the other views.

It could be dependent on your sound system because I don't really hear too much difference between exterior and hood, while racing incockpit.

However I personally use Hood/bonnet position for two main reasons. One; when racing really close to another player i find my engine sounds are drowned out when the mic is set to exterior position. Two; Turbo whine. It sounds awesome in Hood/bonnet position. I don't think you can hear the turbo in any other mic position.
