I've been racing with a DualShock controller for all of my life. I've never used a steering wheel once. What I want to know is, what wheel should I get? I think I've narrowed it down to four choices, but if you guys know of any better wheels please list them in your replys.

Here they are:

Thanks in advance for the help, guys.

What are your criteria for picking a wheel?

When you say "Dualshock controller" I am kinda guessing you play a lot of GT5 or GT6. So for that the best wheel to recommend is a Thrustmaster T500 (the official wheel for those games). However, considering the price it might be out of your range. Seeing the above selection.

From the above the best pick would be a G27. Though after having tried belt driven wheels, I can safely say that there is no hair on my head that thinks about going back to gear driven wheels like all of the above. More direct FFB and steering response than on a gear driven wheel is the biggest plus, next to far less noise.

As said, if you have any criteria like price range or features it can be a far away goal (belt-drive). But if we know them, we can certainly help you better. :)

It all depends on how much money you have got to pay for a wheel. And if you have narrow it down to the four choices I would say the G27.

Pretty much all of my racing games I do on PlayStation consoles. The first racing game I did when I was only a couple of years old was Ford Racing (PS1) with a DualSchock 1, so as you've might of guessed I've grown very accustomed to them. Price wise I was thinking going up to $200 USD at the max (I could go higher, but I'm saving up for stuff).

No doubt the G27 is the best wheel you've listed. I personally had the DFP for the longest time for GT4, then eventually upgraded to the G25. Having that setup into GT5 proved to be a better experience, until I picked up the T500RS and TH8RS on a couple black fridays ago.

I recently acquired my DFP back from a relative that I let borrow since I upgraded. The wheel isn't bad, I just got use to the larger diameter size of the newer wheels. Because of this, I don't ultimately recommend this wheel since there are better options. I'm a believer of better bang for the buck, and that goes to the G27.

If in the USA, consider the Fanatec Porsche GT2 RS V2 Value Pack XL, about $250 plus shipping, the G27 new is about $250-300, but shipping to Canada is crazy, so I am stuck with a G27. By no means is the G27 bad, but from trying my friends Fanatec Porsche wheel, I have to say the G27 is beat.

Well, G25 and DFP are both old models and discontinued, so unless you find them used probably not going to be getting those, the DFGT is a nice wheel but pretty weak in the pedals department, leaving the G27 as your choice. Good wheel, good pedals, great compatibility, good price. There ya go.

I have had a G27 for over 18 months now, used it on GT5 and using it on GT6 now.
Highly recommend this wheel it's never missed a beat for me and still looks brand new now,
For the money I paid I'm well happy.

Hope this helps..??..

P.S

I also recommend the spring upgrade to the Brake pedal, makes it more realistic.
