I just finished doing a seasonal event and i have 1.2m to buy a touring car and do the European seasonal event. Has anyone done this seasonal event and which car did you choose? I cant waste this money hopefully you guys can help asap
Any one of the ones available will win you the event. I prefer the Alfa 155 because its 4WD so has a little more grip. The Mercedes CLK is probably the fastest outright. The Lexus ISF is almost overpowered for it, I believe its cheaper as well, so it depends what you're looking for.
I only own the CLK in GT5. I had all of the Euro touring cars in GT4. My favorite event was the Euro touring car championship. Raced that race a million times.
From GT4, but since the cars are carryover, guessing they may handle similarly.
CLK - best handling of all of them.
Alpha, old and new Calibra, Audi TT redbull, the other redbull, all were about the same.
Merc 195 the slowest, but handled like the others. I used this car often in the Euro touring car challenge in GT4 becasue it was more of a challenge.
The Merc CLK was one of my favorite cars in GT4, so that's what I bought for the GT5 Euro challenge.
It is really not important which one you choose, because all of those cars are really great. In my collection I got all of the cars which are allowed to enter and I have driven all of them quite a bit.
But my favourite is the Audi A4 Touring Car. It is like this since GT4 and I am a little bit biased towards Audi. Could have been the TT also, but I never liked the TT (wether Touring Car or road version).
In a nutshell, pick the one you like best livery or design wise.
depends on your driving style, mine suits the astra so thats what i used (i prefer understeer to oversteer), the lexus is very good though or if you can find the M3 GTR race car, thats easily enough to win
I used the Audi TT that I already owned ... fully tuned it's good for about 625bhp and handles like it's on rails on racing softs ... it's handy for a good few A/B Spec races to be fair! 👍
The Alfa Romeo has always been great fun and is absolutely worth buying too but I already owned that ... nice time to finally pick up the CLK DTM car though!

Personally, I love the BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01 the best. I actually own six of the DTM cars now (Both Audi's, the M3, the CLK, the Alfa, and Opel Calibra). I love them all. But, the BMW has the best handling, IMO, even if not quite as fast as the CLK.
Buying a german one gives you the chance to get 99K credits in 15 minutes by doing the 2-lap Nordschleife in DTC Extreme level.
