I have been looking at getting Assetto Corsa, but I am unsure what version to pick between the PS4 and PC versions and I have not researched much of either version, so I am looking for help from the community. Just from a features perspective, I have a feeling the PC version is more feature rich. One thing I really would like is having a photomode. Also, from a price perspective, which is better? I saw on the front page, there are deals going on for the PS4, but is there something for the PC, including the DLCs? I want to make it a quantitative comparison as much as possible, so any help is appreciated!

I've moved over from xbox to pc a week ago and i can tell you the pc version is way better.
On pc you can customize a lot of things witch you can't on console, like controller button mapping, HUD layout, startgrid,...
And off course all the mod tracks, cars, skins and apps witch you don't have on console.
And the performance and the graphics are way better on pc, if you have a decent pc.
Conclusion : get the pc version :gtpflag:

If you can definitely PC , more mod tracks more mod cars more of everything , game play wise I don't know . .
I'm on PS4 but it seems that on PC it is a much better expirations they say (lucky bastard ) .

There is no reason to choose the console version if you have a capable PC. You'll get better performance, functionality and customizability. Add to this frequent hot fixes, more polished code, and immediate access to all released as well as future DLC. You might want to pay attention to Steam offering the game on sale every now and then, which happens quite often.

All this may make the PS4 version sound bad. This is not the case. The newly released version 1.10 on PS4 is great and not far behind PC, but go with the latter unless you see a good reason not to.

PC version al the way! more options, more features, better AI,better graphics (if your PC is good),very better performance,Photomode.
Mod posibilty in cars, tracks, IU, graphics mods, leaderboards, online mods..etc, etc, etc.

The console version is nearby the PC version in physics... and that is all...it isn't even on par in FFB option... and lacks lot's of of other features and options..bad optimization, behind PC in DLC's and slow update support.

The best place for Simracing globally is PC with great games like Assetto, iracing, raceroom, automobilista, Rfactor2... etc etc

This depends on a few things, all things excluded then PC option is best. By all things excluded i mean things such as not being bothered by all your friends being on a particular platform or plug & play etc.

Not to mention not having to worry about the likes of Logitech\Sony\Fanatec screwing you over on console.

PC without a doubt. Pretty much everything is better on the pc side. I can't think of a single advantage the console versions might have, other than maybe it's where your mates are. Seems that isn't much of an issue because you are looking at both systems.

But do not forget ...... they said that the consoles would be equal the PC'S ssszzz platform .
So ..... I believe I could think but they lied aaaaaa tiny winy bit .

Ah, so much this, and that's before you take into account all the unofficial mods out there, if you're into that sort of thing. I've done it before with F1 2002 and found it a nightmare, but hey, maybe it's easier a decade on...

As a Mac user, the PC version just wasn't an option for me.

Dedicated PC just for gaming? Doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg and one gets used to everything.

I just made the switch away from PC for work purposes. I've already got a PS4 and XB1. I've only just convinced my better half that a rig could be an option (after we move at some indeterminate time in the future).

I'm not going to push my luck!

:D Better lay low for a month now.

In principle PC would be best but I myself got sick of almost every patch breaking the game for me. I am infinitely happier with the PS4 version even if it is lacking in some areas.

Patches breaking the game can also occur on PS4. That's what I felt happend when version 1.09 arrived on PS4 but they quickly redeemed themselves with version 1.10. At least hot fixes on PC don't have to go through five days of approval.
