personally i grew up playing pole position in the arcade, f1 challenge on sega, and of course i've got tens of thousands of laps in playing ridge racer, so i grew up with the wide angle driver view. i cannot drive worth a rat's hairy a** on any of the chase views but put me in the drivers seat wide angle i can tear it up and precisely place the inside front corner an inch from an apex barrier when drifting. i also think it's way more fun because it seems so much more responsive and the sensation of speed when you're wide open is insane.
