Does anyone know 100% which Momo steering wheel this is?

Nearest I can find to match is the "Momo Mod 27", but is it 270mm or 290mm?

I saw the photo on Derek Speares website, he advised the wheel was called "D-mod" but nothing comes up with that search.

I wish to go with wheel this because it keeps the rev-lights cluster on top.

Many thanks!

My guess is this:

The wheel photo has the filename: "scottmcdonnoughminiplate.jpg" if anyone knows of a Scott McDonnough, or any small lead to follow...? Thanks!

It is a Logitech G27 thats been modified with a Momo wheel and button setup. The G27 has the rev lights on the stock unit with three plastic buttons on each side of the leather wrapped wheel.

EDIT: Now I understand that you know about the G27 and are trying to buy the wheel to add, am I correct? It looks as if he added the wheel with a custom button plate and kept the factory LED cluster.

Yes. The custom button plate can be purchased from Derek Speares website.

My question is which steering wheel model/size to buy, to get the same setup as in the photo.

Well, it's hard to tell from just that photo but I can tell you that the G27's LED instrument (the entire black plastic part which sits above the wheel) is 40mm across at it's widest point, so maybe you could photoshop the image to clone the LEDs end to end across the wheel to find the width. I'd do it myself, but... Nah, I'm lying, that's pretty tedious. But without any actual data or knowledgeable people I can't see how else you'd work it out.

It looks like you have the wheel right, a Momo Mod27. It comes in 2 diameters, 270mm and 290mm. Seeing as the paddles look a little too far in (an opinion) I would say that is the 290mm in the pic. The wheel plate is one of Derek Speare's mini plates (I think that is where you nicked the photo from :)). On his website, he lists the plate for the Mod27. I would go with a 290mm myself. I have a 320mm on my G27 and it makes a big difference :)

The biggest issue with this wheel will be drilling it for the G27. The wheel is blank, just like you have it pictured. You will need to drill it yourself. The wheel has a center punch on the back to locate the center. You will then need to measure the pitch circle and drill the holes at 60 degree intervals (with the first hole at the 12 o'clock position :D). The pic you have shown only uses 5 bolt holes, which should be more than enough, to keep the MOMO intact (looks very good too).

I would highly recommend getting one of Derek's plates as you will quickly miss the G27's buttons!

EDIT: WHat's up with the Christmas Smileys?!?

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Yes, I will get a Derek Speares button plate once I get the wheel, and fitting is not a problem as I am reasonably handy with tools.

Thanks again!
