I know that this has been asked MILLIONS of times, but I can't seem to find the exact answers that I need.

If this is in the wrong section, please direct me to the correct one.

My budget is at the VERY VERY top, I am willing to spend $250.

I currently own the DFGT, if I were to eBay this or what ever, that money would be part of the $250 not add on to it.

What I Need:
Clutch
Gear Box Is Preferred to not be sequential, I want the REAL thing
I like the Real Time Adjuster on the DFGT, but I wouldn't miss that too much
Paddle Shifters are not a must but preferred

I don't care about how much space they take up as I have quite a bit.

Please don't yell at me too much for anything I did wrong...

Fanatec Carrera Wheel, H gate shifter, clutch and only 160 bucks. Mine should be here today!

Edit: Nevermind

Does it have clamps or something so that I can attach it to a table?
Preferably would come with it.

And does anyone know what the FF is like on the Fanatec wheels?

I just got the G27 and its awesome. I built a cockpit out of wood and went to pick and pull and got an old seat from a nissan 300z. The wheel cost me about 220 (if you do a product review on logitechs site you can get a 20% off coupon) and I spent 30 bucks on a seat. The G27 is really nice so far. The clamps work great on the wooden cockpit I built.

got the g27, too. it´s great. but you need a rig for it. there´s no way having fun with the g27 without a solid rig. if you have one, the wheel is going to give you much fun :) the "wobble thing" isn´t that annoying i think, so it´s a minor minus to the wheel. the advantages of it outweigh this!

you won´t find any wheel with on the fly adjusting except the dfgt, i think. afaik it´s the only one which has that feature.

Right now, I think I'm leaning towards the Fanatec Carrera Wheel.
It's got everything I want and it's relatively cheap.

Does anyone know what the FF of this is like compared to the DFGT?
And is it worth the money?

if it´s a fanatec for you, the 911 gt2 would be a good choice. make sure you get clubsport pedals, though.

But that wheel costs a bit more.
Again, what's the Force Feedback Like for the Carrera Wheel.

Still looking for answers...

Ive heard that the G25 and G27 are very good but the G25 has some things that the 27 doesnt, may I ask what you mean by adjusting the DFGT and what does it do>?

I have just upgraded from the DFP to the G27 3 days ago and I must say that the FFB is so much lighter and smoother than the DFP. I haven't had experience with Fanatec due to their ridiculous prices and shipping excuses but I've heard the Carrera wheel is pretty bogus due to it being a gear-driven wheel and to go for the GT3RS instead. That said the G27 is gear driven like the DFGT/DFP but it has helical gears making for much smoother rotation.

I personally think the only big factors involved are gear-drive vs belt-drive and the actual on-wheel advanced settings the Fanatecs have(though this may not be available on the carrera).

To sum it up, the G27 is a massive upgrade from my DFP and I am absolutely content with this wheel, it mounts on my PC desk which my old DFP was on and the transmission mounts the same. Unless you are really wanting those extra settings or someone reputable can say that the belt-drive is overwhelmingly better just go for the G27 or Fanatec GT3RS.

does anyone else struggling to change gears with the g27? the game wont register them half the time.
