Which would you choose? The car or the Kid?

There are a lot of comments on this video of people saying they'd just hit the kid to save the Ferrari. For me...I'd rather avoid the possibility of getting killed in prison while serving a life sentence than...not really saving the car. I mean, it's a 100lbs of flesh slamming into a car, it's going to destroy the Ferrari anyway, and ditching in the lake saves you jail time.
 
What sane person would hit somebody just to save a car? The insurance would pay for it anyways.
 
But you can just make a new kid, and sometimes thats a lot more fun than buying a new Ferrari.
 
I don't know....Save the kid probably. You can't replace a kid.
 
The choice between killing a kid and putting your car in the drink shouldn't be an argument at all, I hope.

Obviously you save a life - you can't replace a human life. There are other Ferraris out there.
 
Why must we choose from such extremes? Why not "Serve to dodge the child, but not into the water"?

The response from everyone is obviously going to be to not hit a pedestrian... Those people making those comments wouldn't hit the child, even if they were driving a Prius of their own... it's Youtube, you should know people on it will make such comments, but not be 100% serious about them.
 
I wouldn't have been driving fast enough in a suburban/urban environment to need to swerve to avoid a kid in the first place.

Anyone who suggests saving the Ferrari is a better option than saving a kid should have his testicles removed, since he obviously doesn't think kids are important, anyway. :D
