Why hasn't anyone made one of these yet? Anyhow, fire away. :)

Its a toss up between Massa and Hamilton methinks. Sadly, Ill have to go with Hamilton for the win though, because Massa seems to have bad luck at the wrong moments and bad form when he should be fine.
Raikkonen seems to have completely lost it, lol.
No one else has much chance, perhaps Kubica, but very unlikely.

think kimi will do it...somehow he is even more icecold at the end of the year....

spyrrari.

btw,massa's start today whas wicked!!

id have to say its between the ferraris on this one. anytime hamilton has to start from midfield he never comes close to scoring points unlike the rest of the top competitors so if he happens to have another stroke of bad luck that will be agaisnt him. he seems to just have the better car at the moment but after today's performance by ferrari it seems they have really cought up to mclarens development. massa just seems to be one of those to close to call guys. the guy has some amazing skills and we have seen some amazing passes from him this season, probably has had the best pass' this season at that. though as someone else stated he does seem to have bad luck at times such as this afternoon when his engine just fails on him at the end. then theres raikkonen who at the end of the season is able to just step it up a level when it really matters. just look at last season for proof of that.

Erm, I think you've messed up the poll slightly - there's atleast 14 too many names on there...

It's only fair to include everybody. Technically everybody can still gain more points than Hamilton in the remaining 7 races, but it's highly unlikely.

I think Lewis will, but I hope Kimi can pull himself together and show the dominance he is capable of.

McLaren seem to have settled as an organisation, so I think that Lewis will do it. Ferrari seem to be less capable of reacting than in previous years. And Kimi seems thoroughly disinterested.

Yay Timo!

This year, though, Hamilton has something to prove and will. Glock should be freely tipped to contend for the title in the future, nonetheless.

Raikkonen is still deadly, but appears to have lost his edge somewhat.

well i have to say i totally disagree with you there...
kimi is kimi and will never show his tru feelings...
always has and always will...:sly:

spyrrari.

I'm not talking about him in interviews. I'm talking about him in qualifying, and in races, where he doesn't seem to be extending himself or the car.

He's not visibly trying at the minute, you're not seeing him exploring the edge, in laps or even corners. Look at his performance yesterday: happy to tool around behind Alonso until the second stops, and then he didn't really go much quicker. Only when Hamilton had his puncture, and there was a sniff of a podium did he think about hunting down Glock (who's not very good) in the Toyota (ditto). Then he ran two seconds quicker than he'd been running before. And when Massa blew up, and the podium was safe, he backed right off.

He's lost his magic.

Well I'm not sure what I can say about him tooling around behind Alonso, as that disappointed me as well, but the reason he slowed down behind Glock was because Ferrari told him too, as they didn't want his engine to blow up like Felipe's did. Kimi has always been like that from what I've seen though, happy to trundle along if hes in middle points range, but once he's on the brink of the podium, in first, or just outside the points, then he's absolute lightning.

But that's just not enough in modern championships. He was off the pace in Germany and out of control in Britain after the rain started. He was also tactically inept in that race. It pains me to say it, because I've long been a fan of his insouciant style in and out of the car, but he's become something of a Mika Hakkinen figure. Unfortunately, in modern championships, every point counts.

I voted Massa. I think he'l pull through as he always wins at Interlagos, and does ok at the other tracks bar any rain.

Voted Kimi, His pace was good in the race when he got the air, did a stunning lap that made the gap to alonso. Only problem is qwalifying at the moment but kimi was 4 laps heavier then massa (dont ask why) so wasnt that bad but should be better though. One thing is sure, its most likely gonna be close.

@GilesGuthrie: I did not see any one really overtaking anyone, so its not so strange it happend in the stops is it? Kimi was pushing it after he got the possibility to do so. Germany kimi was offpace. Silverstone went well but looked like ferrari was really going well in rain at all as massa was also having such big problems. Canada was good preformance by kimi, france was good.

GO KIMI!

It's more than highly unlikely - the chances of anyone from outside the current top 6 winning the championship from this point in the season are lower than Michael Jackson's chances of being sworn in as Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

Anyway, to answer your question, my money is on Lewis - I think that Lewis has the added bonus this year of being the No. 1 driver in the team on talent alone, and just as LH and Alonso cut each other's throats last year and allowed Kimi to sneak past them both, Lewis might benefit from Massa taking crucial points away from Kimi. In any case, it promises to be a thrilling climax to the season 👍

You know its still too early to decide who will win the championship right PeterJB?

Anyways, I don't think its not going to be the top 3 because you know they will have bad luck happen near the end (just like last year) and you know the underdog will take the sweep and win the title just like Kimi last year. Either both the BMW drivers and Hekki have a releastic chance of closing the gap with each race. 👍

But as for the vote, I'm going with Robert Kubica because I can.... :D

You're right. Sutil could only win the championship if the top 6 score no points and he won all the remaining races.

By the way this season's going, the end of the Chinese Grand Prix may still be too early to decide, but what's the harm in a fun guessing game?

I voted for Hamilton, he's clearly been the fastest out of the two McLaren drivers. Massa and Raikkonen are fast, but as Touring Mars stated, they could harm each others championships as they take points away from each other.

Good thing it's not a "Who will win the championship?" thread.

I think Hamilton will win it. But it would be pretty cool to see Kubica win it. I wouldn't mind Felipe or Kimi winning it either.

Yeh, 's pretty tough starting from midfield....:p

A flat is what basically kept MickeyL from a 1-2....

after sundays performance i would have to really rethink my view of time on being not that good. he managed to take a under devloped car compared to the ferraris mclarens and BMW's and push it and end up qualifying extremly well and doing extremly well in the race. id have to say obviously timo isnt that bad of a driver hes just never really had the chance to shine like he did this weekend. i think if he was with a better team with a better developed car he would probably do very well. maybe not WDC good but hed be up there in the points i would think.

I see the objective truth in the 'mods' comments. Renault have failed my driver this year and I see noone else to stop Hamilton... unless Massa gifts Raikonnen at Sao Palo again.

Hmmm I really can't decide as it is so close at the moment with both McLaren and Ferrari's drivers having their bad moments.

I'd like to say Hamilton but if Raikkonen gets his act together within the next few races I'd be inclined to say him. Massa doesn't seem to have the consistancy of Raikkonen on form and Hamilton still seems to make silly mistakes at times. If Raikkonen can get ahead of Massa on pace and critically sort out his qualifying performance he will be a solid contender for sure alongside Hamilton.

- Raikkonen consistent? Have you seen the last 3 GP's?

- Hamilton STILL making silly mistakes? Wrong, at least, not since the brain fade of Canada. The tyre mishap was Bridgestone's fault, not his. It could have very well happened to Massa or Raikkonen for that matter.

Hamilton will win it in the end. Kubica might pass both Ferrari drivers in the points standings if their motor keeps blowing up mid race
