I have a few times, but not the tri-oval or standard road course.

It was this layout.

If I don't race the Manx GP at the IOM this year I'm considering going to Daytona in October to see how it is after the repave.
 
I ran it in 2004 in a Formula Dodge on the regular 24 hour course. The game does a good job on the track except the infield (at least back then) did not have a lot of grip and was slipperier than the rest of the track.
 
I think 2005 was my first time there. The exit of the Intl Horseshoe was bad, lots of bikes highsiding there. My next time there a few years later the infield had been repaved and it was a lot better. The banking was still bumpy as all hell.

How much does it cost to lap there?

Is it like a track day or what?

What do you need to drive there? special car requirements?

I raced with Skip Barber, in one of their Formula Dodges (now Formula Mazda). Generally that track really only does special events, they don't have any sort of "open lapping days".

So really it depends on the event, (ie It cost me $1K to lap for half a day), they may do one of those NASCAR experience things down there, those are kinda cheap but you only run on the Oval.
