Anybody see the maintance notice in the news section when you first load up GT5?
Says that all online features will not be accessible between 22:00 and 23:00 PM EST tonight!
Exact wording is this...

The online service of Gran Turismo 5 will undergo maintenance between the following hours:

Start: 2/17/2011 22:00 EST
Finish: 2/17/2011 23:00 EST

During the maintenance it will not be possible to connect to any of the online services.

*Please note that the exact times of the maintenance may slightly vary.

Unquote.

Obviously this is going to coincide with the next update.
Speculations?

Interesting. I have not seen this but I sure hope the update comes immediately afterward! I'm anxious to see what it might contain. Any improvement is welcome at this poiny.

It's just server maintenance or some other maintenance concerning to the online services. I think it relates to the patch tomorrow (Friday), as it can mean of preparing the online services for the patch or something.

Potentially found a "fix" for the museum card issue..... Who knows, but I can guarantee you that we will ALL know after it's done.... 👍

Unlikely. It's definitely the patch. People are already arriving at work on Friday morning in Japan...
