...changing the wheels of all their favourite standard cars?

I know it's been a bit of s preoccupation with me.

Something I've noticed is that it highlights even more the omission of rim size and offset adjustment. I put some nice gold OZs on an 82 Quattro and they're just too big!
 
I know i have! I reckon i would have changed over 75 sets of wheels...

I see what you mean about the sizes though, I put some new BBS wheels on a S15 Silvia that had already been fully lowered. Looks quite funny with the the wheels up in the guards :)
 
I've only changed the wheels on my R390 GT1, to make it look like a GT300 racer, and the ZZII, simply because the stock wheels are a horror to behold. So many people have changed their Golf I GTI's wheels though :irked:
 
Did them all on 1 account, Not doing it on main account to many cars.
 
Changing wheels on standard cars and tuning my dlc and gt-86 the last couple of days.

It should have been part of the game since day one, and allowing me to take my standard car to photo mode, that was bs, but now I read the post yesterday,...
Lets put it this way, i have two hundred premiums done up already, however I can, rims, paint, engine, aero if included.

BUT now
Finally, since the day it came out,

my 550+ standards cars are gonna get some new rims.
This should have been the big update, instead of the stupid waste of space on my ps3 harddrive for " silhouette interior"

I haven't done it personally, been busy grinding out B-Spec and playing cops online... kinda forgot about it tbh, but just like an hour and a half ago i saw a guy with new wheels on the pace car, was pretty nice ^_^
 
Me! Started with the Z31 Datsun, and just did my Subaru 360.
 
I must say that I haven't changed a single set of wheels on any standards...

Don't really care when the selection of different rims is this low!
 
I just dropped some aftermarket rims on a 2CV! Looks hilarious! Will post photos.

Yes, which is so odd as that's one of the cars with 'classic' character defining wheels too.

On topic - No not really, in all honesty it has caught me in the past the whole lack of wheel changes for standard cars, but nothing that stayed with me as memorable... Still, I'm glad they added it, and I'll no doubt use it some time, most of the cars I use seem to have suitable wheels though.

What gets me the most, is the default colour, I think I'd rather they all be... matte white, so I could properly decide on 'just' a shape, then pick the colour later, and idk about everyone else, but is there an extremely limited range of wheels? Or is there just about every amount of spokes possible?

There are a limited set, although this can vary on premiums. There are smaller rim sizes available but these don't seem to show up when selecting for the standard cars - might be more appropriate in some cases.
 
The first car I tried was the Tank Car and sadly it was a no-go...I've probably done about 20 others so far though...Very time consuming too.
 
I've been busy with this, Got myself some proper retro cars now 👍, Shame the wheel selection is so poor though, Need some different styles for the old skool muscle cars.
 
I've done maybe 20 cars so far. I put rims on my EVO RS's first, HAD to get those fugly steel wheels off! I've done my M3's, RUF's and a few other oddball cars since then. How many people have made 996 GT3 RS replicas? I've got 2 and one standard GT3 in my garage now. Thank God for BBS LM's also, they look soooo good on M3's
 
I think I've spent at least 3hours changing rims on my standard cars. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't change wheels on the Bugatti and the Audi Le Mans Quattro, but never the less I've enjoyed changing the rims on some of my favorite standard cars.... Like the R390.

I've been through all 480+ cars in my garage, changing everything I can. Even some of the race modified cars can have wheels changed, I'll be posting up a full list soon, but here's a quick taster:

These CAN have rims changed,,
RX7 LM Edition
Nismo GTR LM Road Model
Clio V6 Cup Car (including the Lutecia model, but strangely the road versions cannot be changed!)
Lupo Cup Cars (both the Lupo and Lupo GTi Cup Car can have them)

Unfortunately, the R8 LMS is not on this list, as you can't change their rims (boooo!)
Full list coming to GTP soon,,,

Yap that has what I was gonna say, I was able to change rims on my spoon s2000 race car and lutecia cup car
 
Just finished the list, and have posted it, including a few surprises which I thought would definitely not have this option open to them.

Yea, it would look a lot better with a wing that matched the RS but it's not bad the way it is. Thankfully it handles so good that small details like wheels and aero bits don't really matter
 
I think I've only changed about 50 so far, and I even found a few cars that I forgot was tuned. I have over 1000 cars so I have a lot of work to do :scared:
 
I did... as well as setting the alignment angles to achieve the correct stance. Honestly there are some standard cars that I've bought that I will never use. So I could care less about "function". Best update since the in car cam for the standard cars.
