well, I do. They play stupid "reality T.V. shows" that you can tell if you watch they are completely scripted. They have also killed the good music. All they play is rap and pop. That's just messed up.
I'd reccomend (if you have it) watch Fuse. They have music videos from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM every weekday. O.K. what do you think?
 
It depends. MTV 1 is 99% garbage. Most of what they play is "punk" or whatever the whiney teenagers define themselves as. MTV 2 is fairly useless too.

MTV Jams/Hits, and VH1 Rythm/Megahits is about all I watch every day, though. 100% music, 100% of the time, no commercials. I joygasmed when they installed the digital cable.
 
Sometimes its good not very much tho I prefer cannel [V]
 
On MTV2 I use to like watching Rockvilla but all they play is the same songs over and over. Gets old.
 
MTV sucks. VH1 and Fuse are much better.

MTV is a pile of censored ****.

They like to think they are so new and cutting edge, but they are one of the worst stations for censoring ever.

God forbid they play something that piss' of a sponsor, then they wouldn't get as much money. :rolleyes:

VH1 sucks i remember VH1 never played any rap and hip hop ****, LOOK @ them NOW, VH1 is for people pushing 30-40 :lol:
 
I don't think that I get Fuse; do you need Digital Cable or something of the sort?
 
I don't understand the point of MTV. If you're not going to watch it, and just want the music, then why not put the radio on? And who just wants to sit watching music videos all day?

It seems that MTV1 is all about shows with dubious imagination and less production quality. I mean, "Cribs" is just a half-baked idea, using people who can't operate cameras to record the cretinous vocalisations of people who can't speak showing off their poor-taste houses.

Ugh!

The other channels seem to be made up primarily of commercials.

MTV seems to be made for people who can't stand a switched-off TV. And what is it with the bass loading? Whenever it's on in our house, the subwoofer almost has a heart attack!
 
I had muchmusic until it was dropped. it was dfinitely better.

I don't think adults understand MTV the same as teenagers. MTV is directly and soley for teenagers. MTV does have its fair bit of suck, but it also has quite a bit of what we like.
 
yes i agree mtv is mainly for people my age but now theres almost no music its all dorky shows even though wild boys is pretty good and so is jackass but other than that and the occasional music video its not very good
 
I will have to quote my favorite comedian on this one. Lewis Black, "MTV is to music, as KFC is to chicken." Basically, they screw it over.
 
I must say that MTV is not the channel to watch if you are a Rock fan or anything other than R&B, Rap, and/or Pop. Of course, Fuse, my favorite music channel, is focused around rock in all its various forms (is the only channel that does that), but if you're looking for a goods veriety all around then VH1 is the way to go. They usually will have a decent song on, but they sometimes have these tangents of Rap or Pop that I hate. Oh well, that's just my $.02...

BTW, MTV as a program channel isn't all that bad as some of the shows are hillarious.

I think that I saw it once on regular MTV. That was back when that video freaked me out majorly.
 
i think mtv needs to play more rock much more! though a couple years ago they played quite a bit who knows maybe in a couple years it'll come back (i hope)

I liked MTV when it actually played decent music videos for their entire length. Now most of the time if it does play music videos it isn't even the entire video or it is some teenybopper crap that I can't even stand. Otherwise MTV shows that reality tv garbage that every network seems to be cashing in on to make a quick buck(Although there are a FEW good shows such as Monster Garage and American Chopper on Discovery Channel).
 
MTV sucks, but Jackass is damn funny.
 
The only time MTV was awesome is when they had Celebrity Deathmatch and Beevis And Butthead. The only show on it thats worth watching now is All things Rock Countdown. But then again you get G.C. and other Punk crap..... Try puddle Of mudd's new one I give it thumbs up!
 
When MTV was ALL about music it was pretty good.
But that was back in the early '80's.
Unfortunately, MTV "evolved" into what it is now.
Whatever that is, it isn't so much about the music anymore as it is about life-style/reality shows, with a few videos splashed in every once in a while.
I personally prefer, the "story" type videos to the "live performance" type videos.
In some cases it makes the song make more sense.
 
well the things like the "REAL WORLD" on mtv are so incredibly stupid i mean how is the real world anything like wut they depict on mtv. in the real world is there ever 7 "random" people in a house screeming at each other day in day out. and wuts up with their casting for that show? there's always one loud mouth black person and one gay guy how is that real. the only thing that used to be real about mtv other than jackass was the music!but thats gone now:( :mad: :(
