Do you think GT3 is a little to easy, you spend most of the time racing on your own, and even lapping them within 10 laps.
I think it's a lot more fun going in slower cars where you really have to work to get in front of the faster cars.
I wish they would have a BHP limit similar to the one in GT2 so you can’t go in a stupidly
:teleport:

That's an interesting question, because while I agree that the races themselves are at times too easy, I have to say that it's still pretty time-consuming to make any kind of serious headway in this game.

For example, GT2 gave us just the inverse of this problem. While the HP regulations made selecting and tuning the right vehicle more of a challenge (chore), there were alot of high-dollar cars awarded for some rather easy races. This made for a pretty quick run through the game, as you had a garage full of race models with less than 20% of the game completed. And there's the fact that single event prize cars are only awarded once in GT3 makes it impossible to keep running the same event over and over and winning-then-selling the prize car to pile up alot of credits really fast.

this is a bit of a stupid poll mate cos the game is as hard as you make it. If you want it easy then rip up the opposition in your F1 car, if you want it hard then race an un-tuned medium powered car.

Yes it isn't very difficult to progress through the game quite quickly, with a high win percentage, if that's what you want, but you can also make it as hard as you like.

Excuse me for not voting, but I didn't see this option.

Just trying to help.

...just commenting on 325i's demon thing - the reply will be comprehensible to 325i - just some strange lingo some of us have developed and wouldn't expect you to follow.

I think the point ///M325i was trying to make was "The game is too easy" because there are very few restrictions on what cars you can use in each race, theoretically making the game very easy to complete.
On the other hand you can make the game more difficult yourself by using under-powered cars against race opposition. But IMO it would be better if Polyphony did make the races a lot harder by restricting HP, Race Cars like in GT2 to make the game a bit more challenging.
Another approach they could take is to have a difficulty setting at the beginning of the game.

Easy - Use any car in any race.
Medium - Some restrictions on hp
Hard - Hp and car model restrictions
Pro - Every race would be like Pro mode on Arcade using the same cars as the AI.

Errr that’s what i said polyphony 001, why would you want to go in a stupid f1 racing evo's/ skylines, pointless.

easy tiger - I didn't mean to have a go, but it is like I said, the game is as easy or as hard as you want it to be, so to ask if it is too easy doesn't make much sense to me.

Fair point?

I get your point.
I just think the idea encourages you to use faster cars just to get through the game. It will take a lot of will to try and do the game using slower cars.
But yes you are kinda right i guess.

true - it does take some will power not to use that sleek new Polyphony or 787 or whatever. Personally I'm racing my mate to 100% so willpower be damned mate! The presence of F1 cars and super powerful LM editions etc do mean there is an easy option if you want it.

I've made this comment before in earlier threads - there is a philospohy in the GT series that you can make the game as hard or easy as you want.

I'm of the same mind as Polyphony 001 - I want that 100%, and I want it ASAP. If it means F1's racing Vitzs, so be it.

Once I've done that, then yep, I'll be trying to beat exotics with cheap barges - nothing more satisfying than beating LM cars with some cheap hatchback on nice tyres.

now this is a hard question....

I agree though, I enjoy entering races where i know i am about even with everyone... which brings me to my point, when i do that the compition is pretty good... love those .010 first place wins!!!

I completely agree, it is so open ended, you can make it as hard as you want

I totally agree that the game is what u make of it, I have to admit that I use my F car excessivel but it is real only to attain 100% ASAP, byy using the F car u are practically guaranteed to win (except maybe the Formula GT Championship which is down to skill)
After I have got completed the game i'll then go back and mess around with under-powered car's in the races

And besides there is always the license tests, getting all golds isn't a walk in the park by a long shot:D

easy when racing yes..but easy when competing in challenges..NOWAYS..so hard to shave off thet half a second from your almost perfect lap i swear

That's true - the licence tests are all very difficult to get gold on.

Don't you think i would be a good idea to have damage, which would stop people cheating, using computer cars as walls.
It is well satisfying doing a whole race without smacking into anything, and doing proper overtaking manoeuvres.

Yes damage would be a good idea, but it will never happen. Car Manufacturers will never agree to let there cars be wrecked.

It doesn’t need to be visible damage. Stuff like your car looses speed, will not go straight, punctures and loosing gears. stuff like that.

Well, I think you're kinda right. But you have to admit, choosing a car that will be competitive but not dominant is not easy!

I just wish the AI were a little better. It could push a little harder, but also give room like a real racer would. As a road racer in real life, I would file protests against these guys FAST if someone pulled the crap that the AI lives on. Running in traffic with a high powered RWD car in this game is HARD without having them spin you. I find it's easier sometimes to let them pull away and spread themselves out, and then pick by them one at a time. In real life I love heavy traffic, like a fast start. In GT3, no thank you.

It's fun... but not that easy!
I think this game was designed to be not very difficult coz it were, only few gamers would be buying it...

Too much difficulty in the game isn't fun at all!:drink:

I will agree with the ones who say you make it as hard as you want. Albeit, I want to achieve 100% too so for the current races I have left, I will most likely use whatever car it takes. But then that just leaves more replay value later as you can go and challenge your skills driving slower cars etc. but at the same time beat the game. Really, until lately, (got a much needed MONTH off from school :D ), I just haven't had time to sit down and play it to death, so I'm not finished and really in no rush to beat it either. Just driving and having a blast doing it! (at times I will also make up my own style championships with my own rules and regulations. only thing that will make me put this game down will probably be GT4)
peace,
