I remember seeing this about 5 years ago and calling the number listed at the end and leaving a message on Tims answering machine. He never got back to me, but I found the video again.

Sorry if its a repost, but its too funny not to post it again.

In case I did that wrong...

Too bad it doesn't have the 2.6 HEMI.

Yeah, Chrysler really did sell them like that. Boy, they were in some rough shape in the early 80's, huh?

I am SOOOOO glad that I wasn't aware of my surroundings when these cars (read: rolling pieces of 🤬) were introduced and sold.

You know, K cars weren't actually bad cars. We just think of them that way because we have better things now. The K cars were far better than anything GM or Ford was coming up with at the time, as well.

Most of the regular cars from the 80's were absolute garbage. Ugly, slow, crappy, ugly, and most of all, ugly.

Ahem:

This is still better than anything Chevrolet has come up with, if not Dodge as well.

K cars were good small cars in their time, but the EEK was poor competition for GM's G-bodies and Ford's Taurus.

Dodge Spirit, Acclaim, Dynasty, 600, Chrysler New Yorker, Imperial, etc.

Basically anything with K bones underneath but a bit longer. I think the Aries wagon was actually technically EEK rather than K. EEK really is an umbrella over a whole alphabet soup of K-sourced platforms, P, J, ... I forget them all.

It was better than the GM 4-door Century/Ciera pair in the early 80's, but the Taurus had it beat in '86, and the 2-doors couldn't compete with the G-bodies.
