Whoa... where'd that roof come from?

Hi there. I was playing GT and i came across the oddest problem. My friend and I were playing 2 player, and he was driving the BMW convertible (i think its the m4?) and i was driving the mercedes sl 500 convertible. For whatever reason, the BMW has its top on, and the mercedes grew a roof and no longer even looks like a convertible! Anyone know what's going on?
 
The tops on convertible cars are only down when you are driving solo. When you are in a race with others, the tops are always up.
Evidently this is so the PS2 doesn't have to emulate up to 6 drivers leaning, turning and shifting.
 
also, for some reason when you do a 2p battle, the game suddenly imports the track textures from the PSX version of the game :yuck: :crazy:
 
Yeah I know, I am reselling this game on Monday. To many lies they put in the previews. Oh well, it was pretty fun until I saw there were really no convertibles.
 
bit harsh, selling the game. but your loss, your obviously not worthy of a copy of gt4.

Whats this about PSX graphics???

That would make sense. Each PS2 would be powering its own convertible. A second on one of the systems and two would probably be up.

Tops can be down in arcade mode, single player, against one AI car.
 
The top is even down on Tsukuba Circuit in the Wet - you get soaked :scared: and your nice leather seats too :crazy:
 
When I did the suzuki concept race there were 4 AI opponents with gsxr/4's..

Its the only car i've found where the tops down but there might be a couple others out there.
 
I didnt have THIS problem, even in 2 player mode, so it should be some sort of a glitch in your system or something

my second car was a red tvr griffith 500 bought for over 20.000 credits BARGAIN! can be driven with the top down has a V8, really nice sound great handling and it looks sexy :drool:

i still love that car
