Sigh, this is frustrating, but why is it when I select a car from my garage to race I am put up against 15 gt citroens? Is this a bug? Why can't I choose my opponents cars that I want to race against? I wish there was a way to let you select the amount of how many ai racers and what car they use to really be able to customize your own races.

I notice when I chose a car from the middle tab, I think arcade only, then it places me in a pack of random cars.

What gives, I'm surprised that this hasn't been brought up to PD concerning this issue with arcade mode.

It has been brought up, several times.

If your cars are heavily tuned then the Citroen GT is all that you'll see. Race them stock and you'll have the challenge that you're looking for... sometimes...

I've only gotten this when racing with my Citroen GT which I find it to be very annoying. Other than that when using the rest of my 100+ cars I always get different oponent cars.

You couldn't ever make custom races, you race what they put out. The only way you can choose the AI cars is when you choose one make race in arcade. It will give the opponents the same car you're driving.

Yeah this just happens when you heavily tune your car they put you up with these cars yes very frustrating... thats why I wish you could choose what cars you race In arcade.

Indeed. A fairly high-PP car with Racing Softs usually gets a grid full of Veyrons, GT concepts, and Speed 12s for me. Even when the car I'm using couldn't compete with those, RS tires or not.

I know it's not your fault and that you should be able to tune your cars however you want, but I really recommend that you try racing your cars as stock as possible. Add maybe just the ECU tuning chip, weight reduction one, LSD and Comfort Softs up to Sport Hards and you'll see how much fun you have.

Personally I don't tune my cars more than what I told you, so if you like tunning your cars heavily maybe you can keep two cars of the same; one heavily tunned and one just like I told you for Arcade racing. I guarantee you that you won't get Citroen GT's but cars that are at you same league if you select the maximum difficulty.

Like 15% of the time you'll end up in between 4th and 2nd place even if you race as hard as you can. That's the true beauty of this game since you'll know you've raced with all that you have and had a fair competition instead of just going ahead of the other 15 competitors before the first turn which is boring and unrealistic (sandbagging the A.I is worst).

Until we get the event generator the only option is the suggestion that I gave you.

I hear tires can affect what cars you go against, but im not sure if thats entirely true. Anyway, try putting the tires back to the original set on the before race options menu.

hat you can do to even the field is take the car in stock. and add the parts you already purchased once in the race.. OP'd car

I did some rudimentary testing a while ago with a Ginetta G4, and while Sports and Comfort tires seemed to get the same opposition, using Racing Softs gave me much a much faster grid to race against. I can't vouch for RH or RM. Possibly leftover code from when tires were factored in to PP calculations?

Was running some of these the other day, and Comfort Hards reliably gave me slower opposition than Comfort Soft. I wasn't quite sure about Medium vs Soft, but it was a different grid at least so probably the game thought they were slower whether they were or not.
