How come, only a couple of people are selected and put in the birthday mentions, but when you click on the cake, you get a whole lot of them?

If you click on the cake you get the birthdays of everyone who has signed up to GTP and allowed their birthdays to be shared. If you look at their profiles, some of them haven't logged in for years. The list on the Birthday mentions is currently active members. I'm not sure how long you have to be dormant before you are no longer considered currently active but I'm sure Jordan or one of the mods might be able to answer that.
