Every few weeks my wife, without asking me, books us into a hotel for a few days , just to play bridge. She does not realise that everytime she does this I lose my login bonus.
That's bad enough but this time I think she has gone too far. She has booked us to play bridge every afternoon and evening from the 3rd to the 8th of July.
Does she not realise that this means that not only will I lose my login bonus, but I will miss the whole weekend of the British F1 grand Prix, and also all 4 of the quarter finals of the world cup.
ARE THESE GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE?
I should add that after 43 years she still bakes the finest lemon drizzle cake in the world. Is this sufficient compensation for her actions?

That is a tough call. Bridge vs drizzle cake.... that's a pickle.

What if bridge actually means bridge and "the finest lemon drizzle cake in the world" is the euphemism?!?

Have you had enough other lemon drizzle cake to confidently make that statement? I think more research is required. Let her go play bridge and you eat cake.

43 years and you want a divorce over a 5 day vacation? A little too much IMO... Heck I wish I could afford a 5 day vacation!

Cant you just say no and stay home by yourself?

And send her off to play "bridge" with a potential replacement player... Are you mad?
I wouldn't be. Its obviously something they have been doing for a while. If he cant trust her after 43 years there are other problems in their relationship.(same applies to her trusting him)

And I know what someone else is gonna say, cause I get the "bridge" thing.

Still who can confirm what they do. I'm not gonna judge...

No one is judging we're just having fun with this obviously. Also my comment was a joke too...but yeah

Take the wife to something that annoys her a lot (e.g. football game, boxing, etc) and see how she feels, to make her understand the situation? Seems like you dislike bridge... (for FIVE days too? ouch)

Login bonus isn't THAT important, and I'm not a big football fan, but if it really is important to you could ask your son/daughter/neighbor/friend to record the games and log to GT6 once a day while you're gone.

This is the key to a good marriage. If your spouse does something that bothers you, make sure you do the same back to them (preferably a little worse). It's always best for your relationship to make sure that you keep score and exact revenge.

A proportional response only makes sense when you don't have enough power to win outright. Overkill is exactly the right amount of kill - obliterate her.

In a battle with a woman, it's best to "take off and nuke 'em from orbit".

Who remembers that line and where it comes from?

@Danoff
The key to a good marriage is not IMPOSING what you want on your spouse (+not spending all the time together, IMHO).
You seem to have a problem with understanding or reading, as there's clearly a question mark, and I used it for a reason.
If you're the kind of man that does as his wife tells him, she broke your will (yeah, like a horse), congrats! I'm sure that's what you had in mind when you first met her, haha.

You mean like: "Take the wife to something that annoys her a lot"

You seem to have a problem with understanding or reading, as there's clearly a question mark, and I used it for a reason.

Yea... that changes everything.

Yup, that's what I was suggesting. Glad your reading comprehension is so much better than mine.

Lemon drizzle cake is easy to make. Learn to make it yourself, and if you can make it better than your wife's, you'll have the upper hand.
