What's the point of the car wash if there is no dirt accumulation on the cars on the current version we have? maybe the patch will fix these things up![]()
Yea I remember in GT3 and GT4 the cars would look a little dull after a while and they would get that sheen back after washing. However, I don't buy the 'air moves better over the car resulting in better laptimes thing' in real life ok, but there is no way the game takes this into account.
Did anyone ever experiment doing a high speed run in a dirty car and then washing it and doing it again in GT4?
Well..I was referring to real life...and GT5 may just indeed take it into account, or it may not and may just be for the look of the car. No one will know for sure until we all play around with the game Wednesday morning.
But I do race autocross...and have been racing for about 10 years, and I find it to be very minute in its results, but it is indeed there. Do some wind tunnel research and you will see that what I say holds water.
I have no doubt thats true in real life... just highly doubtful it will be incorporated in gt5 =\

Kamauchi is a certifiable car-nutter. It wouldn't surprise me if closing the GT5 glovebox improved the car balance...
MythBusters' golf ball car anyone?![]()
I've seen dirt accumulation on the car in TaxiGamer's live stream few days ago, so it's definately there. It takes a while though, think it were 2 laps of Eiger K Trail and I noticed it near the end that the car was dirty.
I think in the Stealth McLaren vid we've seen, the person playing already did a few laps or something.

Btw, lets say you DO NOT race on a dirt course with a certain car, will it still accumulate dirt?
