I have GT5P for about 3months now and i just brought a bluetooth headset for the PS3 so i can talk online ,but it seems PD hasent included this feature is it just me not finding a suitable option to turn on or doesnt it exsit ?
please help

I just figured that with like 11 other racers, it would just become a noise of people talking... Also, in other games you get a lot of idiots who make a fool of themselves when using the mic... I was on Need For Speed Undercover yesterday, and there was a male on there "rapping" which was only funny for about 30 seconds...

Mics are good. I think best way was in SOCOM Confrontation, you need to push button to talk, and others cant talk at the same time. That how FULL game should be.
And this is not NEED FOR SPEED, so we will have less of HALO and Casual kids spamming mics.

To anwser question. I do not why PD did not include this feature in PROLOGUE, they should, But we really think FULL game will have the feature.

There's always the possibility of muting users you find annoying, or to turn the mic off while you race. From Forza2, there was very rarely any annoyances at having 8 players talking at the same time. as a matter of fact, it was pretty cool, especially to tell someone you were overtaking so they wouldn't ram you over accidentally.

No Mic use is a bad oversight from PD (even for a demo) and a very stupid lack of inbox feature from Sony (aka not including a mic with the console)...

as an insight, 2 years into the PS3's development... the company is still making stupid and useless business decisions... (home anyone?)

Ahh I agree they should include MIC at day one with console..

But do not bash as far as HOME. HOME is great, it already brings developers to make their home spaces, like PD. It will attract more players, and make developers choose PS3 over competition because of this COMMERCIAL program.

Yeah mute or just put away the headset is one way not to listen to annoying people. But there always should be VOICE function with online racing.

Can you provide a link to that?

Jerome

I know I heard that KAZ did mention about voice features in full game. Then again he promises a lot of things that people know about, but hard to find the source.

But yeah here you go. All the online features he wants to use in FULL game.

Private races with buddies and in-game chat are all in the works... but will not be ready from day one," Imasaki told posters on the official PlayStation blog. "Will keep you posted on the progress!" he added.

I have to concentrate when I race. Even if the feature was available I wouldn't use it, at least not while racing.

Yeah me too. But again, I would CURSE people out ! :ouch:
But at same time, I would tell them I am passing them, or if I am the slow one, I would let them know they can pass me on left or right, etc.
