Why do most people race unfairly?

In many of online rooms, people can choose any car they want! Some will get in light ones, some in heavy ones, some in high BHP ones, etc... and all of these cars are racing together in the race. It's ridiculous and unfair.

It's quite rare to find "Same cars" rooms, and it saddens me, and to me it ruined the online experience.

Anyway, earlier today I got in a room where all cars had to be equal, exactly the same, same BHP, same weight, and even same parts! My experience racing in that room was spectacular. In that kind of race with only one car to choose from, it takes YOUR skill to get to the finish line first, not the benefits from the car!

In a such unrestricted race, I can kick everyone in the butt in my Formula GT! Oh yes, that is fair.

Also, the BHP restriction is useless. Anyone can pick the bestest car available anyway, and people are able to choose lower BHP ones. It's just ridiculous.

To me, it just seems that online players don't know how to set up rooms properly. Or just don't understand what "fair race" means.

I thought you were talking about dirty racers after reading the title, but on topic ; it gives the option to let everyone just use there favourite cars.
Yes people do get destroyed soemtimes due to the car they have, but they might still be having fun! :dopey:

Same car races are good, but doesn't it get boring using the same car?
 
Man, is it just me or the online already feels dead. First, there are barely any rooms to play if you take into account a good connection and something that sounds balanced. And then people set stupid regulations, like everything under 900 HP. You get people using race cars with street cars. I wish more people would play the shuffle mode.

Not at all! It's very, very entertaining.

I don't want people with lighter and powerful ones overtaking me, or me overtaking weaker ones. It's boring.

Agreed. Shuffle Races and "Same Car" rule are the way to go!
 
I hosted for a few hours last night with open HP regulations outside of letting in any X2010's. It was fun for a while, but the guys in the room ended up requesting a same-car race. We did several using MP4-12C's and it was a lot of fun. Different winners every time. Plus one guy had some modded Vette that was doing 265mph anyway, which wasn't that cool really.
