All I ever see on the drifting Seasonal leaderboard is Speed 12.
I thought that there may be some sort of glitch, or a certain tune that keeps the car in the drift just right.

I searched my very question, but I all I could find were people wanting tunes. So I tried one, and I still don't know why people drift this blasted thing. :yuck:

Different strokes for different folkes man.

Seriously, people drift all kinds of things. Whatever works for them 👍

Don't think anyone really "likes" to drift it. It's more of an requirement to score a lot of points.

No glitch, a good tune helps, but it still is a terrible car to drive IMO.

are you using a wheel or a controller, because i bet its a lot more controllable with a wheel :)

I think they drift it because it has loads of power and torque but in the end it comes down to what you like and what works for you. There is no correct answer as to why people drift the Speed 12.

Speed 12 is the fastest driftable car in the game, that's why.
Drift points are calculated by your:
- Yaw angle
- Distance from the track edge
- Forward movement speed

Speed 12 excells on all 3 parts when properly tuned and that's why people use it.

People like to drift with different cars as well. I personally like to drift using the Alfa Romeo 8c. It has great power and the exhaust note is one of the best in GT5. Another odd drift car is the c1 1954 Corvette. Fully tuned it is a drift beast that is very easy to slide.

People only use it for the drift trials because it can get insanely high scores. I have never heard anyone say it is fun and Ive never seen one or the Buick special online.
