Cars that are 0/0? Who cares? Is it just a collectible thing or are my used cars about to blow up or something?

Also, why are people "ticket" crazy? I see people offering anything from huge garages for them. It is pot luck right? You could wind up with crap couldn't you?

I am obviously a noob so I am new to all this. GT5 is the first racing game I have actually loved. I still suck at it like other racing games I have tried but at least I am having fun with it.

1. People want 0/0 cars to insure that the car has no upgrades or hasn't been abused.

2. Yes it is luck but every ticket is different and most tickets have good cars in them which means no matter what you get you'll still end up with something useful.

Welcome to GTPlanet man! 👍

Trust us, we appreciate your good attitude as well, enjoy the site 👍. And to expand on your ticket question, some people "dupe" tickets so that the can re-open the ticket until the get the car they are after. Hope it helps :).

It does help. Thanks. I know to keep my tickets to trade now.

Tickets are extra valuable because people use the USB trick where they copy the gt5 file to the USB, use the ticket, then if they dont get what they wanted overwrite the file with the one on the flash drive and try again and so on...
As for 0/0 cars most people that collect them have beat everything and are looking to collect perfect copies of everything.

It's possible to get lots of rare cars from tickets, thus people often look for a birthday ticket of the specific year of the car they want!

All I know is, I'd prefer cars with between 190 and 2700 miles (yes, I have very specific reasons for choosing those odd figures. It has to do with break-in/wear mileages).

1) 0/0 UCD cars are the most exclusive thing to collect IMO. Also there is real-engine wear in this game and after so many miles your car will lose permanent HP. Having a 0 mile car will ensure you get the longest life span out of it.

2) Tickets are the way to get around the 1M trading cap. So really the only car we can't trade anymore is the X2010. Every other car is obtainable through a ticket.

Thanks everybody for your responses. I just got a level 9 class ticket so I will hold onto it.

There's also an easier and quicker way to do this. Open the ticket but when the game asks you if you'd like to drive the car, don't select either of the options. If it's a car you don't want, press the PS button on the controller, select "Quit game" and you'll return to the XMB. Then just enter GT5 again and you'll still have your ticket and a chance to try again. Repeat this as many times as you want until you have a car you'd like to keep. 👍

(This trick works on the original non-updated GT5 but I don't know if it still works with the latest patch.)

After I open the ticket it saves so if assume it doesn't work plus I use tickets in batches to quicken up getting a good car so it works for me fine

They must have fixed the exploit method I use, in a recent update.

This quick reset method NEVER worked for me with cars from tickets.

It has always worked when farming horns and matte paints though!
