Yeah, I know you quoted shaka's post, but you said what you highlighted in red was my opinion and that I think it is 100% fact.

I was responding telling you what I really think about the parts you highlighted in red and that I dont think the stuff in red is 100% fact.

If I have misunderstood and you were not responding to me at all, then I 110% appologise!!

Yeah theres a misunderstanding in there somewhere. This is an argument that was accidental so we'l both leave it 👍

Whats funny about live is your paying for it and its still full of adverts, Ive recently sold my xbox 360 and made the move to the ps3 i dont regret it not one bit playing online with the ps3 has been fine no probs.

It isn't as though they are knocking you over the head with them. You make it sound like its a horrible thing to see a "poster" for a new game that is coming out in retail, or a preview video for some new title... Or some kind of in-game contest.

Big deal.

Its nice to be informed once in a while.

PSN has the same sort of ads in their store, I don't see and issue with it.

After about 10 years of use can you imagine how many live subscriptions you will have paid for!

Robin

Yeah, 10. With a total cost of US$436. Which equals 11 Cents a day. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think that's asking too much.

I don't mind paying for Live when I can actually use it, unlike getting my PS3 online which has yet to happen as it won't connect to my router for no apparent reason.

I have both consoles and I haven't switched my PS3 on for weeks, so many more of my friends have 360's so I can play them all. Only one of them has a PS3 and the only good game he has for it is GTA.

Since the PS3 has no really entertaining games to play online that I couldn't get for cheaper on my 360, I don't mind paying a little bit. Especially as I got my 12 month sub. for £4.75 :D

Ads help keep the costs down, plus companies know that Live is a great way to reach younger generations.

im done with live. dont know why im even paying for it.

Live made sense in the xbox-PS2 days but PSN has come so far and its still free.

live is also p2p. all this talk about it being less laggy than PSN is complete bull.PSN's marketplace is alot better than live with the recent firmware update

PSN needs to get the friend list management (i.e. in-game XMB) and voice chat system together though

(lack of USB or bluetooth headsets shipped with PS3's is another downfall)

Xbox Live at $54 AU for 13 months bought through EBay is much cheaper than paying the $80 AU their asking and when put that up against other things you have to pay for 'eg Movies, concerts , shows, sports etc' it works out very cheap to be able to play unlimited online gamng against the rest of the world .

Don't forget to add the cost of getting to the above events with the spiralling fuel costs and such.

PSN will want to get its act together with some friend groups and audeo so as you can chat while playing 'eg Halo, Forza 2 and so on.

As for the Ads on XBox... HUH... where, cant be anywhere near as bad as on TV!!!, doesnt bother me at all.

I have both (XBox 360 and live and PS3) and am happy to pay for XBox live for what I get from it.
