Why do you get the same credit for completing a race with maximum assists as with none?

To me it doesnt seem fair that someone with low skill can enter and win a multiplayer race using easy assists, wheras the person who has hard or pro settings needs much more skill to win, and does not get any credit or bonus for this.

Surely it would make more sense to only allow people using the same level of assistance to race together - then it is a level playing field?

Because for whatever reason they got rid of the Difficulty bonuses in FM7 in favor of allowing you to change Assist settings mid race (singleplayer only).

Oh no, you can change them mid-race in multiplayer too, not that it's a great idea.

It's basically a car collecting game first and everything else is more or less an afterthought, if you can accept that you'll be happier.
