Its happened to me twice now. In A-Spec I have won all the races in the GT World Championship and got them all in gold but I don't get rewarded with the prize car. This also happened in Tuning Car Grand Prix.
Thanks.

I found at the higher levels you actually had to be prepared if you want to win 5 races back to back. So winning the races individually is a good start, also note what setting will work best as you want as much handling and speed as possible when you do all the races as a series. Sometimes too it seems like its too much to have to run series without making a major mistake but especially in a 5 race series you can do bad in one or two races and still take gold, so never give up, I've quite series when I crashed out and gave up only to find I took second overallwithout even finishing that race
It is not a bad thing anyway, at least you now have pretty much experience on each of the event in the championship. The championship is not going to be a problem for you now.
Now keep in mind you don't have to win all the races to get the prize. Just make sure you have at least a 100pt lead and start the last race before you quit.
In the Formula GT championship I only won two of the six races, and quit three of them and still got 3rd in points.
Don't worry about that, as said in the topic, you do not need to win all the races and you are actually prepared for them, you did them already and have a slight advantage now. on top of that, you end up with more prize money.
I noticed that when I just jumped into the nascar series (without ever trying the car or completing the Jeff school), I did not stand a chance basically, but still won the tournament.
