The TG test track sucks in gt5. For one they need to get rid of the cones that should not be there and two the follow through is not accurate in a 12' GTR and many other cars and three THERE SHOULD BE WEATHER CHANGE!!! Its always raining over there. When I was in London last year for a week it rained the whole time and I was not far from Dunsfold where the TG track is.

Those are for drivers that are not familiar w/ the layout of the track.

The Red+White section is considered off track; in "Star in a reasonably priced car", they consider running on the red+white "cutting"

This may be eventual, although from your rather negative support of the track, this might not happen.

Why does LR-MR-Cole do nothing but whine and whinge all the time. Take a happy pill. :)👍

Right? Or to your specifications?

You only have a point with the last one. But we'll never know if it'll come anytime soon.

In my opinion it doesn't 'suck' at all. I don't think you've actually been or driven round the track but merely watched it through TV so your judgement of accuracy is invalid to be honest.
I think it's great - a very accurate and realistic representation actually of the real track: Coulthard SLS Challenge was very close between Virtual and Reality in terms of the track and vehicle.

The cones are there to help people who are unfamiliar (as stated above), and if you know the track well enough they shouldn't be an obstacle as you wouldnt be hitting into them.

I agree with the idea of the 'Wet track' or 'Change Weather' option, however it's not always constantly raining and actually most of the Episodes from the Series show a dry track (look at the lap time leader boards for example).

A good and probably a profitable idea for PD would be to model the full 1.76 mile runway. It would be ample hours of fun in terms of messing around, drifting and drag racing/top speed runs.
However the 'profitable' argument might backfire as many people feels that it should of been included with the track itself, and of course Change Weather Variation too. 👍

Top Gear Test Circuit is fun to drive. Do you have anything positive to say about the game ever?

I hate that "track" (I use the term loosely). Even with the cones I can barely follow it and personally I find it boring and frustrating.

What they really need to do is to move all the invisible walls back a few car lengths so you can recover from an accidental slide without hitting anything. And maybe make some immoveable objects moveable (even if it takes a lot of force to move said object).

I'm a firm hater of silly invisible walls in games. :(

Is there a feature on the forums to just block all threads started by the same whiner?

As to weather on the track, it is a test track. It isn't a good race track (it crosses over itself and it has no pit lane). All you are doing is testing a car. You don't need weather for that.

As to the cones... really? That is what bothers you? Wow.... You must be an absolutely horrible person to live with.

Its awesome! I love (some of) the free run lobbies online.

BUT!!!!!
PLEASE PD!!! PLEASE! REMOVE ONE WALL AND GIVE US A FULL RUNWAY!!!

+1 👍

I rather like the tgtt. Nothing wrong with it?

And plus considering how every thread you make is about how much you don't like gt5 then why play it if it annoys you? Common sense. Just saying 👍

I'd forgive it for having cones if only it did not have those stupid invisible barriers that stop you going more than a meter off track when you spin out... seriously uncool :D

First time I race on tgtt, I was very dissapointed. The cones made it look funny, buy I guess they are necessary. Then the invisible wall barely off the track, really made me sad. I was so excited for that track before release, and now that I can use it, I usually don't.

It's like Fuji 2005 but without the charm. Sorry, that was mean spirited.

Fuji is a much more enjoyable place to drive.

That said, I'd agree with most everyone else: the only problems I have with TGTT are those stupid invisible walls that should have died with the SuperNES and that you can't use the long runway for benchmark testing or 200mph drag races. Just kill the lap if you go grass mowing. Weather/time should be available but thats the same everywhere.

I too like the Fuji track except for the 2005 version. It's like racing on an airport runway. I think elevation changes are a must for fun driving.

I'd also add the time change, it would be good to race at night with all the runway lights on :dopey: and to move the invisible walls some meters.

The TG test track sucks in gt5.

Maybe because we are not a 16 year old minded Jeremy Clarkson with a ZR1, or a Mercedes SLS AMG, or some crazy supercar to play with.:sly:

I like it. I only use it to mess about from time to time and have a lap time spreadsheet of various cars there as well as other tracks. The cones and invisible barriers are probably there only because it can be raced online. It would be madness to not have them online. Maybe offline and online can be programmed differently, but highly doubt its at the top of PD's list. To me its a non issue.

Ok, I have rethought it and it would be cool to have barriers removed on the asphalt sections with in game speed traps and timing lines for drag racing and top speed runs.
