Why doesn't GT5 have online rooms with computer hosts?

I'm Just wondering why a person has to host the room. Couldn't PD set up pre-determined rooms for specific types of racing that automatically generate tracks, and start times? The only other racing game I've used online had this system where no player ever decided what track or when to start. You chose your race type, and vehicle the computer did the rest. I still like the option to host the room yourself, but just think this could help in finding a good online lobby.

Probably because a computer won't know when to boot retards, or recognize when the group of people want changes to the restrictions, or race setup (laps, damage, grip)

Hopefully they create a system where players can play in the PD run rooms or the current open system. This would keep all the "only this counrty, that type of racing, ect...." in one area so you wouldn't have to filter through it.

Yeah, but you pick what kind of car you want to race, then choose a room that is regulated for that type of car. They could leave in the "vote out" option, and noone would be able to boot someone for no reason without room aproval. If you want to change car regulations, change rooms.

I actually love the way the online rooms are able to be customized currently. I run a room daily and have a very select group of people I race with regularly. My room is always clean and I keep restrictions as to what I know the people I race with and myself want it to be.

I would hate not having the option to regulate the rooms as im currently able to do. When and if you meet a room host who runs a room properly the online experience is unbelievably fun in my opinion.

I agree with you, but racing with the same people makes it harder to become faster. Meeting fast guys randomly, forces you to take a harder look at the tune that your currently using. Nothing pushes your tune like a faster driver. Your also exposed to potential sleeper cars.
