Why don't I get a paint chip when I buy a new Mclaren in Fire Black?

I believe it's called either Fire Black or Volcano black. I bought it last night but it didn't give me the paint chip. I even tried to send to a friend and back but still it didn't give me the paint chip for it. Yet it is such a nice color. I had plans to paint other cars with it. :grumpy:
 
Disappointing if true, I was going to buy the car just for that color. I'll still buy the car but I guess I'll need to pick a different color, good thing there's plenty to choose from.
 
I have bought/traded/gifted 3 McLarens now, none of the actions produced a paint chip :(
 
That explains why me getting a McLaren MP4-12C with the McLaren Orange did not produce the chip for me to paint my F1....had to use some close approximation of the color from Lambo...
 
Keep up the outcry and hopefully PD sends a patch to break that paint chip one use crap. I hate it and will not paint a car until i pretty much get the trophy for having 256 paint colors, till then cars will stay the same color. Lets get PD to change this lame paint system, it's the worst thing I have ever witnessed in a game.

At first I disliked it but I have grown to like it quite a bit actually. I feel like I use them more sparingly and only when I really want to because I only get one shot. While it would help immensely to have a way to preview it, I like the paint chip idea. I am not sure how to explain it, but when I get a car in a color I love, I love it that much more because of the sense of accomplishment. I don't know, and I know other people will hate it and I understand that, but it isn't too terrible.
 
I bought a Mach 1 mustang just because I wanted that green paint and I didn't got the chip :( , Looks like there aré some cars that don't give you the chips , anyways now I have 2 really cool green paint chips :) I got from the LF-A and used NSX
